Shamelessly posting for traffic. I want to put together a cd for my mum to cheer her up. I've got a few really upbeat songs in mind but am hoping for more recommendations to make her a real feel-good-dance-around-the-kitchen cd.

So far:

Blanket on the Ground-Billie Jo Spears

9-5 - Dolly Parton

I'll Name the Dogs-Blake Shelton

You Make It Feel Like Christmas-Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani

People Are Crazy-Billy Currington

Suds In The Bucket-Sara Evans

Follow Your Arrow-Kacey Musgraves

Rock Me Like A Wagon Wheel-Darius Rucker

Bartender-Lady A

If you know these ones then that will give you an idea of the kind of songs I'm after.

Thank you Smile

I'm gonna hire a wino to decorate our home - David Frizzell

Honey Take My Hand by Cody Francis. It's pretty 'current' (which I usually hate) and I wouldn't say country exactly, but in that vein and just a lovely road trip song. :)

Drunk On a Plane- Dierks Bentley
When it Rains it Pours- Luke Combs
Brad Paisley- Beat This Summer, Ticks, I’m Still a Guy, Alcohol
Miranda Lambert- Famous in a Small Town, All Kinds of Kinds, Only Prettier

Lights come on by Jason Aldean is one I love.

To pp who doesn't admit to liking country: I always find when I tell people they say they do too and this thread shows that many love it. I also like thrash metal and heavy rock 🤷🏼‍♀️

Pontoon - Little Big Town

Probably not Momma's Got Her Boobs Out by Rodney Carrington, although it is upbeat.
