Why wouldn't you?!

ShirleyPhallus · 13/10/2020 14:05

Very pretty and fine for a girl

But I would dress my boy in girls tights and little frilly shorts

kowari · 13/10/2020 14:06

I wouldn't buy it, so no, I wouldn't buy it for a baby girl.

Plmoknijb123 · 13/10/2020 14:08

Just to clarify...my friend thinks it’s too boyish, but I think it’s unisex.

What does she mean by 'boyish', and what problem might occur if a girl wore something 'boyish'?

ComtesseDeSpair · 13/10/2020 14:10

I think it’s a bit twee but would think it was suitable for either a boy or a girl.

PolarBearStrength · 13/10/2020 14:11

I’m yet to see an item of clothing which has caused a child to suddenly change genitals.

difficulttod · 13/10/2020 14:11

I think really if you want to buy for a girl it needs to be pink with frills and bows and preferably an adorable slogan such as "sugar and spice" or "mummy's BFF"

NC4NW123 · 13/10/2020 14:11

I wouldn’t put a boy in it. But Yanbu if you do. Your choice

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 13/10/2020 14:11

You would be unreasonable to buy it now if in the UK, as its too cold.

NC4NW123 · 13/10/2020 14:12

Sorry girl*

D4rwin · 13/10/2020 14:12

A bit old fashioned for my tastes but definitely unisex.

NC4NW123 · 13/10/2020 14:13

@SissySpacekAteMyHamster disagree, with a vest underneath, tights and a cardigan. Fine

VettiyaIruken · 13/10/2020 14:13

It's fine.
It's going to get thrown up on and probably suffer a few poonamis. I'm in camp 'put them in anything that's easy to open and easy to clean',

DelurkingAJ · 13/10/2020 14:14

I’m certain I wore outfits like that and no harm came.

MJMG2015 · 13/10/2020 14:15

It's a traditional boy romper.

I'd buy it for my own daughter, but not for someone else.

It's chilly here today though & that's made me feel colder!! 🤣

Plmoknijb123 · 13/10/2020 14:15

Ahhh, I’m sending it as a gift to a warm country so was just looking for something ‘Londonish’ and fun. But friend though it was for a boy only so now I’m second guessing myself!!

OP posts:
SparkyBlue · 13/10/2020 14:15

It wouldn't be to my taste as I think it's very dreary colour wise but I would think it's perfect for either a boy or girl

sapnupuas · 13/10/2020 14:16

I'd be more inclined to buy it for a girl than a boy.

(But it's awful so I wouldn't buy it anyway!)

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 13/10/2020 14:20

I wouldn’t buy it at all and if someone bought it for my DD, I wouldn’t put her in it. Nothing to do with her being a girl though.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 13/10/2020 14:22

It’s definitely unisex.

NameChange84 · 13/10/2020 14:24

It’s very “Prince George/Louis”. I think it’s most likely for a boy with extremely traditional parents but no reason a girl couldn’t wear it.

henrykissingher · 13/10/2020 14:24

that’s so cute! I would def have put DD in that but I sort of see what your friend is saying. But not enough to not buy it for a girl

TheRealJeanLouise · 13/10/2020 14:24

Don’t second guess yourself. Your friend has a problem that she should be addressing now that it’s the 21st century and everything.

Soubriquet · 13/10/2020 14:25

I wouldn’t buy it for a boy or a girl!

I think it’s awful.

But yes that’s a unisex romper
