As above...please help settle a lighthearted disagreement between me and my friend!

Indefinitely think that’s unisex.

All baby clothes are really, except those that are uncomfortable and therefore unsuitable for any baby (generally to be found in “girls” section Hmm )

It doesn’t look that cosy to me but that’s another thing.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 13/10/2020 14:29

Cute for a boy/girl in summery weather if that’s your style.

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 13/10/2020 14:30

@D4rwin

A bit old fashioned for my tastes but definitely unisex.
This.
SVRT19674 · 13/10/2020 14:30

Too old fashioned for me, for either boys or girls...

RedskyAtnight · 13/10/2020 14:33

Does it have buttons down the back? Don't buy for that reason alone.

Meuniere · 13/10/2020 14:37

Is it the blue colour?? I cant see an issue either.

The answer to your question is that it probably depends on how sensitive the friend (you are sending the gift to) is...

Ting20161987 · 13/10/2020 14:38

Navy was and is the favorite colour to dress my little girl in since she was a baby. Its gorgeous .

Chickychoccyegg · 13/10/2020 14:39

Obviously people can wear whatever they like and nothing will happen to their genetals or anything else should they wear an outfit ment for the opposite sex 🙄 but its a traditional boys outfit, its also horrible, I doubt a lot of people would put this on a baby girl.

ShirleyPhallus · 13/10/2020 14:40

Just out of interest - the people saying its a horrible outfit, what sort of stuff do you dress your babies in? Just leggings / sweatshirts etc?

I think this look is lovely!

TableFlowerss · 13/10/2020 14:41

I don’t like it for a girl or a boy. Looks like it’s trying to be unisex but failing as it looks too girly for a boy and too boyish for a girl.

Couldn’t care less what anyone dresses there baby in but when buying presents for others it’s best to keep in mind that they may not follow ‘gender neutral’

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 13/10/2020 14:41

I prefer that type.

Also love this print but the off the shoulder cut is hideous........in answer to your question tho I'd say it's unisex.

I wouldn't buy it is it is from JMB, doesn't look soft and would be outgrown in no time.

If you like it and want to put your dd in it then do. Why do you need permission? You'll get everyone assuming it is a boy though.

CleverCatty · 13/10/2020 14:43

for your own baby it doesn't matter, if it is a gift these two from same site are still blue but girly - I do think this one with the darker blue and soldiers if a gift is a bit too boyish yes but fine for your own baby.

It's incredibly old fashioned, but it's definitely aimed at a boy.

If you were thinking of putting your own baby girl in it it'd be no issue, but for a gift for someone else I'd go for something more neutral.

This is incredibly sad.

mushroom3 · 13/10/2020 14:49

unisex!

user128472578267 · 13/10/2020 14:49

Whatever will become of us all if we fail to force stereotypes onto infants!

I dressed DS in babygrows for the first 6 months, then bodysuits with soft trousers when he was crawling.
SingCat · 13/10/2020 14:49

I really like it and would have loved to have received it as a gift for my daughters!

artisticpiles · 13/10/2020 14:49

Yes, I'd have bought that for my dd, she looked good in blue.

Personally I can't think of anything worse than what the British Royal Family baby boys were dressed in but can see that foreigners might find this appealing.
1forAll74 · 13/10/2020 14:52

It tends to look like a boys romper, but dare say a baby girl won't care about that.

Cantthinkofausename · 13/10/2020 14:53

The style of it is girly but the pattern and little figures on it is boyish so no i wouldnt buy this for my daughter....or my son for that matter

ghislaine · 13/10/2020 14:53

Beatrice, I'm sure Eugenie and Jack will love it. Go for it.
