I really love sex with my partner, but despite this some strange things pop into my head while doing the deed. Last time specifically:

"Oooh I wonder if the cereal dispenser I ordered will arrive tomorrow...... "

I usually never get distracted but the other night I got the worse cramp in my leg and was like “oh oh oh” for all the wrong reasons. I just kept thinking ‘oh hurry up and finish, for fucks sake my leg is killing me’. 😬

Shit, I forgot to put the dishwasher on.

There is a lot of random stuff, mismatches, timing, etc. that happens in relationships, and that is life. These forums are often a depressing, but realistic read.

I've been lucky/fortunate with my DH. At this stage I know what he likes in bed, and I'm happy to make an effort to make him happy.

Having emerged from menopause ( the pause refers the pause in your libido and pretty much everything) I am now pretty much absorbed in the moment. During menopause I could be compiling a shopping list, listening out for DC waking up, all the usual stuff.
DC, now late teens, just have to put up with our sex life! Just as well probably have to put up with theirs

Had I known it wouldn't happen again for months I would've made more effort to enjoy it. He's not been able to since the bump became so obvious, just can't get his head around it so I feel pretty rejected despite always telling me it's not me, I'm beautiful, this happens to lots of men etc :(

I gave birth to my 5th baby not quite 4 months ago and it was pretty traumatic. We have a great relationship and sex life usually, and he’s very giving in bed but I’m (mentally) suffering a bit after the baby. It took about 6 months last time for everything to be fully back to normal, I hope it’s not any longer than that this time, I really miss being with him and the closeness.

We’ve been together 12 years if that’s of any relevance.
