Mine is dancing with a hot dancer in a Strictly type competition. Sometimes it’s just about dancing with a hot dancer, other times it’s about everyone I know watching me and thinking how fabulous I look and move. In reality I’m fat with two left feet dancing round the kitchen! Grin Does anyone have a fantasy scenario in their head or am I the only saddo??!

Oh, I've collected sooooooo many Oscars.

Oysterbabe · 09/10/2020 22:58

Yeah, loads of different ones, most too embarrassing to share. They all focus around everyone thinking how amazing I am Grin I love a good day dream.

OldGreyBoots · 09/10/2020 23:00

All my fantasy stories are literal fantasy - set in worlds from games usually, but all quite Lord of the Rings-esque! I'm not even in them, but I have half a dozen characters I make up storylines for, full of romance and betrayal Blush

thegirlanachronism · 09/10/2020 23:03

You are not the only one! But as PP said mine are either too embarrassing to admit or literally based in a fantasy land Blush

starskey80 · 09/10/2020 23:03

OldgreyBoots I do this too, I've a set of characters and I plonk them in different worlds/scenarios. Love my own head sometimes 😁

Rainbowb · 09/10/2020 23:04

Oh come on I’ve shared mine! Grin

I'm a long time maladaptive daydreamer and have several fantasy lives spanning years. I have very strict rules on when I let myself do it so that it doesn't impact my real life but my version of going for an afternoon nap is to go have myself half an hour inside my head! I have different scenarios and storylines depending on my mood and what I need to gain from the temporary escape from reality.

In one of my favourites, DH and I bought a run down shell of a hotel in the middle of nowhere which we have been gradually doing up. Various guests visit, the DC are having a glorious time running feral in the countryside, and a good time is had by all.

WankmasterBastardDeLaShithead · 09/10/2020 23:06

I'm a techno DJ. I play incredible music, but retain an air of mystery.

Pukkatea · 09/10/2020 23:10

I'm usually the lead actress in an incredibly popular TV show. I'm in a secret relationship with my incredibly hot costar. TV show is sort of cool action hero, Buffy esque. Sometimes I'm being interviewed or sometimes it's a behind the scenes documentary. Literally this is how I get to sleep half the time.

Pukkatea · 09/10/2020 23:11

OR if I'm running while listening to music, I imagine that the singer is me performing in front of everyone I know, all amazed at my talent.

Phoenix76 · 09/10/2020 23:20

Ha! Mine is King Thranduil realises that I’m his next wife. Also LOTR inspired, I know I’m going to regret admitting this......

JuiceyBetty · 09/10/2020 23:23

I win the lottery. That’s not the bit I love though- it’s imagining telling my family and friends I’m giving them money 😊

seayork2020 · 09/10/2020 23:26

Other than covid not existing cant think of any, I am boring but I like it

VashtaNerada · 09/10/2020 23:28

I have about five different ones I cycle through based on TV programmes I’ve enjoyed. I just go through phases until I get bored and then move onto another one.

Tiredmum100 · 09/10/2020 23:33

I love this thread! I don't feel so strange now. I have a few stories I make up in my head for bedtime. Sometimes I can't wait to go to bed to 'do one of my stories'.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 09/10/2020 23:38

I have 2.
One my ex realises his mistake in leaving me and begs me to take him back. I cry knowing this won't ever happen.

The other I've won the lottery and have a lovely house which is always clean and tidy. And I'm magically better (mh issues). Probably because I'm not worried about money and can afford lovely food, a cleaner and all the craft stuff I want. And I have twin daughters with my friend because we both want children (more children in my case) but are eternally single. Grin

I do this!!!! I didn't realise it had a name though. I love my wee half hour when I go into my dream world and make up a story to myself. It depends on my mood what kind of story I spin.
BigBadVoodooHat · 09/10/2020 23:42

I think I’m probably a borderline maladaptive daydreamer. I have an entire parallel universe running in my head pretty much all of the time.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 09/10/2020 23:45

I didn't know this had a name! My stories can run for years (not the ex coming back one.)
When I was a child i used to imagine I was putting a vhs on of 'my' story to help me sleep.

Gancanny · 09/10/2020 23:50

I use it to get to sleep too, like mentally unplugging from my day so that I can drift off Smile

Patienceisvirtuous · 09/10/2020 23:51

Oh yes. Things like not telling anyone I’m auditioning the appearing on X Factor ad delivering an amazing powerhouse performance 🤣🤣🤣

Or living in a country cabin with someone mega hot like Jamie Dornan - no work, no disturbances, just me and him madly in love, lying on a big bed with a fire crackling laughing, snogging etc

Oh I LOVE a good daydream

Ijustneed · 09/10/2020 23:54

I win the lottery and plan what sort of house I'd buy and how I'd decorate it and what furniture I'd buy, how I'd landscape the garden. It's how I get to sleep when I can't switch off.

munchmunchly · 10/10/2020 00:01

My DH is always dead and gone in mine Blush and I have loads of money via a lottery win our life insurance would only cover the mortgage if one of us dies although since I've had the kids I don't have the desire to replace him. Even in fantasy land dating sucks. But yeah I buy a big old estate with really good heating that's never cold and make a beautiful garden with a massive monkey puzzle tree feature. I'm not particularly materialist, but I'd like to be able to do the house and garden however I wanted and not work.

munchmunchly · 10/10/2020 00:02

@Ijustneed ha ha ditto !

WishingOnACarrot · 10/10/2020 00:28

Just usual, normal life stuff but I daydream about conversations and events that have never happened - though the people they are happening with do actually exist (friends, colleagues etc). It's a bit dull really compared to some other fantasies on here.... But, without sounding mopey, I'm very ordinary so it's not surprising that my fantasies are too 😁
