His mother was a nurse.
His father was a toolmaker.
He passed his 11+ and got into grammar school. While he was studying there the school went private.
He studied at Leeds Uni and worked his way up to become a QC.

I'd say his background was average, his intelligence and hard work got him where he is.

He’s also the first person in his family to go to university, so not sure how anyone can claim he’s from a middle class background tbh.

I can't understand why people don't think he is middle class when most posters on threads about class think they are middle class with probably similar or lesser backgrounds.
