Fuck no. Unattractive visually, aurally and in any other way. From a wealthy upper middle class family, would never have got where he is but for that. No more relatable to the average person in the street than the PM which is why he won't be the one to change Labours fortunes.

I know people that worked with him before he became an MP and am not aware of anything negative.

I know someone who worked with him as well - and speaks very highly of him (reckons he’s a good man and a brilliant lawyer). I reckon he’s someone who’d come across better in real life than he does on the TV - so while I don’t actively fancy him, I could imagine I might if I met him in real life, if you see what I mean?

I know the village well where he grew up. The area is not especially posh. Pretty mixed. Can't stand the idea that you have to be working class to be Labour anyway. There are plenty of working class Tories for starters.

@BatleyTownswomensGuild is right - that’s his wife. He was knighted after his stint heading up the DPP, so she automatically takes “Lady”. I don’t think they use the titles themselves, actually- but there’s a BBC diktat that titles must be used (hence the clumsy “Jonathan Sumption - Lord Sumption, thank you very much” type of thing you get after Radio 4 interviews. Tatler is super smart and will always use titles; just look at the photo section and it’s all “Mrs Stephen Williams”. So no reflection on them....and certainly not of any upper class background.

Yes, absolutely. Probably the only politician I would ever fancy. Although he's a bit old for me really.
