But there is something wonderful and attractive about a man who is educated, erudite and measured. It is a YES from me.

Compare and contrast to the buffoon and charlatan we have in charge for starters!

We need to up our game and expect leaders with gravitas and good leadership and all that.

If Keir Starmer's background passes for upper-middle class, then I think you'd have to consider the UK to be a third-world country.

The obsession in the UK about class is unreal.

People just have to achieve and be leaders with a brain and observation.

Keir Starmer is Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver is Boris Johnson. They should have a girly fight in a water fountain. Neither attractive because Mark/Keir is humourless and devoid of emotion and Bojo/Cleaver is manipulative and sexually incontinent.

I can't bear Frankie Boyle, but his description of Starmer was spot on. He look like someone playing the prime minister on a Spice Girls movie.

I like him because he seems like a real human who goes home to his actual family and not some sort of input station where he's pumped full of opinions to spew. I trust him more than I've trusted a party leader for a little while.

I used to find him sexy but agree that his voice is a bit much when you have to hear it regularly!

The continued attempts to portray his modest background as something more privileged than it actually was are very telling. I keep seeing it.

His father was a toolmaker.
He passed his 11+ and got into grammar school. While he was studying there the school went private.
He studied at Leeds Uni and worked his way up to become a QC.

I'd say his background was average, his intelligence and hard work got him where he is.
