. . . so does anyone else find Keir Starmer really sexy?

I've known of him for years. He's never tried to make himself out to be a man of the people or hide his wealth and background (when those things were of benefit to his professional career) until he was in the running to be Labour leader of course.

His family are at least middle class, if not upper middle. He's from a Labour background, but so was Ed Milliband and his family certainly weren't working class either.

I used to live where he grew up, he's in no way middle or upper middle class!

I think he's what the country needs as he seems to know his arse from his elbow which is always a good starting point. And he has kind eyes.

But despite all that he still looks like Max Headroom.

I also know where the grew and I'd say it's pretty middle class to most people. Maybe not on MN where most people are at least middle class but in denial!

Are you saying that his parents occupations automatically make them working class? Because that certainly isn't my view nor experience...nurses for example come from many and varied backgrounds

It doesn't matter what class he is or what his background is per se. But being disingenuous about it makes him (more) unattractive and also his lack of working class cred means from a political POV he's yet another unelectable Labour leader.
