I've known of him for years. He's never tried to make himself out to be a man of the people or hide his wealth and background (when those things were of benefit to his professional career) until he was in the running to be Labour leader of course.

His family are at least middle class, if not upper middle. He's from a Labour background, but so was Ed Milliband and his family certainly weren't working class either.

DumDaDumDum · 04/10/2020 12:01

Omg yes. I’m early 30’s and never find older men attractive but I’d make an exception...

I’m so glad someone else has said this.

PasDevantLesElephants · 04/10/2020 12:01

Deffo would.

I used to live where he grew up, he's in no way middle or upper middle class!
RandallBoggs · 04/10/2020 12:04

He reminds me visually of Mr Poppy from the Nativity films. Hard no!!

Bubbletrouble43 · 04/10/2020 12:05

@jojobar
So his parents weren't a nurse or toolmaker? Are those lies?

Nikori · 04/10/2020 12:13

He seems an extremely decent, hard-working, intelligent, compassionate man.

lljkk · 04/10/2020 12:15

Sincere is what I'd say about KS. Not sexy.

Mummyoflittledragon · 04/10/2020 12:18

@Judashascomeintosomemoney

No. He looks like Kryten.
😂😂😂

Does he ever wash his hair? It’s lank and horrible looking. And as though he has dandruff.

So nooooooo.

Heffalooomia · 04/10/2020 12:19

@noimkaren

I know too much about him to be anything but repulsed
Do tell.....👂
ChaChaCha2012 · 04/10/2020 12:22

How are you defining middle class, and upper middle?

Mooseflake · 04/10/2020 12:25

He's a bit nasal. But he's not a bad looking bloke

strawberrysandpecans · 04/10/2020 12:26

Yes he's very intelligent and that's appealing

aquashiv · 04/10/2020 12:28

FFS NO.
Though I do enjoy the way his wonky eyes steady when he looks at Boris.

ImEatingVeryHealthilyOhYes · 04/10/2020 12:29

Since when has class got anything to do with raw animal attractiveness?

Which he hasn’t got btw Grin

Love him though and want him to be PM

ittooshallpass · 04/10/2020 12:30

Good god no! 🤮

MrsMoastyToasty · 04/10/2020 12:31

No. He reminds me of Buzz Lightyear.

Butchyrestingface · 04/10/2020 12:32

If I was forced (at gunpoint), to play Fuck/Marry/Kill involving Keir Starmer, BoJo and Donald Trump, KS would definitely be getting pumped.

In all other circumstances, he is not doing it for me (currently).

IheartHarryStyles · 04/10/2020 12:33

Yep. I probs would 😂

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 04/10/2020 12:34

No.

I think he's what the country needs as he seems to know his arse from his elbow which is always a good starting point. And he has kind eyes.

But despite all that he still looks like Max Headroom.

Jojobar · 04/10/2020 12:34

I also know where the grew and I'd say it's pretty middle class to most people. Maybe not on MN where most people are at least middle class but in denial!

Are you saying that his parents occupations automatically make them working class? Because that certainly isn't my view nor experience...nurses for example come from many and varied backgrounds

LakieLady · 04/10/2020 12:35

Personable, but not sexy imo.

Andy Burnham, on the other hand ... I feel my knicker elastic slackening every time he's on tv.

DimityandDeNimes · 04/10/2020 12:36

But you don’t need to be working class to be part of the Labour movement wanting social justice.

WhatWouldJKRDo · 04/10/2020 12:37

I can see that. He’s definitely appealing

Jojobar · 04/10/2020 12:37

It doesn't matter what class he is or what his background is per se. But being disingenuous about it makes him (more) unattractive and also his lack of working class cred means from a political POV he's yet another unelectable Labour leader.
