@Waxonwaxoff0

The worst shoes ever. They look so tacky.
Oh come on, they can't be as bad as crocs?
MintyIguana · 27/09/2020 20:49

They were designed to be very expensive indoor shoes. Not to be worn outside

ListenLinda · 27/09/2020 20:49

I’ve spent many a year buying the cheap versions from Primark, to last a few months and hurt my feet.
Asked for a pair for my recent birthday, they’re coming tomorrow and I can’t wait, to embrace my inner chav Grin

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 27/09/2020 20:49

Get some alpaca socks and waterproof (or water repellent) boots/shoes - will be as warm and tons more practical.

SparklesAllOver · 27/09/2020 20:50

Have to say I also have the Wilcox? Biker boots and have worn them in rain and sniw for 3 yrs and they still look good.

ScrumptiousJohn · 27/09/2020 20:50

I did not know til I just googled that ugg do different types of boot. I thought they were all varying lengths of floppy wide boot.

These, however, I could be persuaded to wear outside of the house.

(But I'm not cool, so maybe go with what others are saying).

Not a good look.

Ugg boots yay or nay?

I tried to branch out into another brand and it just didn't work. They are just so comfortable and sooooooo warm. Although I think they last a shockingly short time for the price and my sole always wears unevenly which probably fits with the support concerns!

Just bought myself a pair of "Bearpaw" which are very similar but were cheaper.

kursaalflyer · 27/09/2020 20:54

What's with the dead sheep frothing? Don't most of the population wear leather boots and shoes?

ButtWormHole · 27/09/2020 20:55

Chavy AF. I love mine

PrimalLass · 27/09/2020 20:56

Yay. I have a new black pair waiting this year. I don't care what anyone thinks as my feet love them.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 27/09/2020 20:57

Definitely outdated. I can't believe they still cost so much. Hardly anyone wears them now.

MissDollyMix · 27/09/2020 20:58

I loved my uggs. They were so cosy. I wish they were in fashion!
As an aside it’s always good to wear something some people are really rude about. Helps sift out potential judgemental snobs who think they can judge a person’s whole life based on their choice of footwear. I don’t need people like that in my life.

lanbro · 27/09/2020 20:58

I've never owned the slipper type boot but have a couple of flat leather Uggs, some wedge sandals, some high heeled leather boots and some loafers, all very comfortable and stylish, I think!

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 27/09/2020 20:59

Slippers only. I have 2 pairs but never wear them out of the house.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 27/09/2020 21:01

Yabu unless you are time travelling back to 2005-2010

PurpleFlower1983 · 27/09/2020 21:03

I had loads of Uggs at one point (around 2008) but I only have one black pair remaining. They surface every now and again as they are so comfy!

PrimalLass · 27/09/2020 21:05

It does amuse me how angry people seem to get about these boots. I posted a deal on S&B once for the brown leather ones and got absolute pelters.

They are warm, I live in a village not Mayfair, hate wearing socks, and I'm 46 so am not trying to grace the pages of Grazia.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 27/09/2020 21:05

EveryDay they're on par with crocs! Grin

FatherTedsBankAccount · 27/09/2020 21:05

For me, it’s not a question of whether they’re fashionable or not. I think they are ridiculously, insanely ugly. Always have been and always will be. However, if you like them and think they’re comfortable (and they probably are comfortable) knock yourself out, OP!

FreekStar · 27/09/2020 21:06

They probably aren't fashionable anymore, but don't get the comments about them not giving feet and ankles enough support. They are made of natural sheepskin so are soft and comfortable and keep feet warm while allowing them to breathe. Ankles don't need supporting- they are designed to hold your body weight and are strong on their own- you don't need ankle support during summer when wearing sandals, shoes or trainers do you? The collapsing boots in the pic posted above are fake Ugg boots- I've never had genuine ones collapse like this.

AgnesNaismith · 27/09/2020 21:06

I give no shits. I love my ugg boots.

My whole winter wardrobe this year will be made up of clothes that are as comfortable as pyjamas. It’s what we all deserve.

deedeemegadoodoo · 27/09/2020 21:06

The fake ones collapse. The real ones can last a long time. I’ve currently have a grey knee high pair and black short ones that I’ve had for several years, but I’m pretty sure I first got a pair . I’ve never worn them for long walks, but have worn them on cold days when I want to keep my feet warm. I have started camping with a campervan and awning, so looking forward to being able to wear them when I’ve taken my walking boots off and want something warm to slip my feet into. As for what others think, I don’t care. In fact, I’m pretty sure I had a pair nearly 20 years ago.

CathyorClaire · 27/09/2020 21:07

Yay.

Toasty feet trump looks every single time when its 5c and falling.

FastAndCurious · 27/09/2020 21:08

I LOVE mine and I don’t care what anyone else thinks!

The real Uggs absolutely do not do that bendy ankle thing as shown in the picture above, only the cheap copies.
