Quite fancied a pair of the tiny ankle uggs this winter, my 17 year old sister tells me they are so 2012!!😂
Opinions?
YABU : NAY, UGGS ARE AWFUL

Real uggs yes. Fake ones no.
I had done the first time round and loved them, they are back ‘in’ again. I have just bought some of those tiny ultra mini uggs and they’re lovely. But trickier to actually get on than the classics but I love them. So cosy and warm. I never wear mine in the rain but perfect this time of year.

You'd be paying for the label. You can get as warm and more supportive elsewhere.

Elai1978 · 28/09/2020 20:01

They really don't.

Must be the other (mainly male) fora I use then! I’ve heard them referred to as such multiple times!

KitMarlowesCodpiece · 28/09/2020 20:12

Well, I shall enjoy slagging it up around town, being a slag in my slag wellies and enjoying my toasty warm feet.

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/09/2020 20:12

I think every truly comfortable item of womens footwear gets slagged off for some reason or another. The same doesn't happen with men's footwear, funnily enough.

I love shoes, I have a big collection of ridiculous heels. But for day to day walking around, walking to work etc, I want comfortable shoes and while I try to get nice looking ones I'll happily wear Uggs, skechers, docs etc all of which get slagged relentlessly.

SlagWellies · 28/09/2020 20:13

AH HA HA HA HA

Terrysnotyours · 28/09/2020 20:16

I have had 2 pairs years ago. They are comfortable and I thought they were supportive.

I would not buy them now though.

Yeah course you have. It's one of mens favourite conversations after all. Football and the state of women's footwear Grin

I had a pair of emus once ,the warmest things I've ever had. If you put the need for warm feet above style they're fine.

CurryForever · 28/09/2020 21:11

I tried Emus once, and they were gorgeous. Sadly, the tread simply wore away over time. It was like trying to walk on ice all the time.

I love the look of 'Bearpaw' boots, like these. So many other styles too, but I'm not happy about the fact that the fur comes from China.

I love my UGGs! I have some knee length dark brown ones that I wear out the house. I honestly don't care what anyone thinks, they are warm and I think they look fab.

gubbbbbddaaaa · 29/09/2020 14:03

The ultra shorts will make a comeback this winter I think ..not the length that was fashionable a few years ago...
Plus the real ones don't do that flopping to the side thing !

Bubbletrouble43 · 29/09/2020 14:36

Curry I bought some bearpaw years ago in tk max and they lasted a long time, they were great.

Bubbletrouble43 · 29/09/2020 14:37

Men in uggs though... 🤔

MotherOfChaos28 · 29/09/2020 15:29

I love them but literally only in the house. As other posters have said they have absolutely no support and extended periods of time in them give me back ache.

Aworldofmyown · 29/09/2020 15:31

I love Uggs but they are currently not in fashion 😆

Says who?
MeadowHay · 29/09/2020 16:34

I have black knitted Ugg boots. They were a birthday gift 8 years ago and I still love them and wear them frequently in winter. They're so warm and comfy!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 29/09/2020 16:41

I've still got my Uggs but I care about comfort rather than what other people think! I've got a waterproof leather pair that I've worn in snow, ice flooding etc. and they are still going strong

Aworldofmyown · 29/09/2020 16:54

Adobewankenobi says me, up there ☝😆
I'm not saying don't wear them.

If we wore what the catwalks were pushing we’d all be walking round in carrier bags looking ridiculous. But then I don’t buy my clothes from the high street for the most part. I believe ‘fashion’ falls to personal choice.
pooopypants · 29/09/2020 17:58

I actually have 2 pairs, one dark blue and one tan with 'UGG' written on them. Cant say that I would've bought them myself but they were gifts.

I'll say this though - never once have my feet been cold on the school run with them on - my toes were grateful.

And I'm as far from a size zero as you get. Zero fucks given

Averyyounggrandmaofsix · 29/09/2020 18:02

It's pretty obvious a lot of people have never seen genuine UGG boots let alone worn them.
