I have two. A bangle and one of the leather ones. I don't wear the bangle often because I'm clumsy and it wouldn't stand up to every day wear. I wear all the charms on my leather one most of the time.

I like to stack beaded bracelets and it goes well with that look, and the charms aren't dangly and delicate so it suits me for that reason too.

I don't get one for every occassion but people do buy them as gifts - usually specifically because it reflects something I like or enjoy.

I can understand why some people don't like them, they are chunkier and not as classic as an ordinary charm bracelet, but some people on here are very snobbish about them.

I've seen enough of these type of threads before - they diss tunics, waterfall cardigans, twigs and pebbles, mum boots (whatever they are) bootleg jeans, Pandora bracelets and anything else considered infra dig. I just find them very sneery and unpleasant - look at the little people with no taste.

But as that wasn't your intention, I apologise for my earlier comments 😊.

  • i have not admitted outloud that i do not want one myself
i dont like chunky bracelets and find the cost of them unnecessary. and a charm for special occasions.. it is not something for me
i would rather have a necklace
    that is my guilty secret.*

Ok. You do know it's really ok for people to like different things? If you people in real life would judge you for saying you don't like a certain style of bracelet then you need new friends.

I mean, you're never unreasonable for not liking something. You own your tastes at the end of the day.

I got one for my 21st, but I feel like it's more because I felt I 'should' rather than because I really liked them. I no longer wear it because a lot of the charms were bought for me by an ex, so it was a good excuse not to anymore.

I do actually like a lot of their other jewellery though, and I wear a Pandora ring every day - I just find their bracelets a bit bulky.

Pandora don't just sell charm bracelets. They sell all kinds of bracelets. Some are lovely.

That's your taste and your entitled to like what you want

If you can't see the attraction great, lots can. I used to work for them and have my own, each charm represents something and I love that

It's just people's taste, no need to knock someone else's though and be rude. Says more about the person saying it Confused

For the Xmas issue the reason there are queues outside is because they can't have people wandering round the stores at Xmas looking as then people get the jump if someone else is served before them. So to keep it in the queue order it's done like that. Oh and security as funnily enough people love to steal it. If there was one other person in there and loads of sales staff available then that's just silly they didn't let you in

They seem dated to me, I always think of them as being a 2010-ish thing (and I didn't even like them back then). Like One Direction or Twilight. But if people like them, let them at it. No skin off my nose.

@BillyAndTheSillies it's VANISHINGLY unlikely that you're allergic to pure silver, which is completely hypoallergenic. Jewellery allergies are almost always caused by nickel, which is common in cheap base-metal jewellery, and in cheaper sterling silver jewellery, it may form part of the 7.5% of non-silver metals allowed in the alloy. Pandora claims to be nickel-free, but if your partner got knock-off charms who knows what they were made of.

*they’re too chunky’
you do know they do more than charm bracelets, my DDs love them.

Just Google-imaged these, and while some of them do look very busy there are others which are really nicely put together. It's a matter of personal taste, there's no 'unreasonable' or otherwise about it.

I'm a bracelet-lover with a fondness for chunky, artisan bracelets. Pandora bracelets therefore aren't my style. But a lot of people do like them, and if they get pleasure from wearing them I won't be the one to knock that.

I can remember someone saying they were an investment and they were getting it insured. I didnt say anything because I'm not like that but I did think WTF.

My friend has one and all her charms mean something.

I don't own one.

Of course you’re not the only person to dislike a particular item.

I really don't like your living room curtains and I absolutely can't see the attraction of those shoes you wore last Wednesday.

Am I alone?

Probably not. Everyone likes different things but most are polite enough not to mention it. I suggest that you take their lead.

Actual LOL. Maybe she can put it in secure storage with her Beanie Babies? They've GOT to make a comeback someday. We just need to be patient.

I don't like them either. I'm not a fan of chunky jewellery. But, it's just my personal taste. I was always rather baffled by the queues when it was really popular, it's essentially just costume jewellery. But then I'm not really into jewellery at all. I just wear my watch & plain gold band wedding ring. I imagine many people would find my style (or lack thereof) exceedingly boring.

I have just got one for my birthday, each charm was chosen by one of my DGC, something they relate to. I will treasure it.
The price of charms is daylight robbery.

They need a ticket machine - works for the cheese counter at Tesco!

I do like bracelets and usually have at least a couple on.

I’ve never seen the attraction of Pandora and the clones. They seem extortionately expensive for what they are and not particularly attractive. I have a traditional charm bracelet though which I love and wear regularly.

Whoever said they were teenagery is spot on.

Cheap tat imo

I don’t like them. DD (19) does. She enjoys choosing charms... her latest being a key which is obviously meant to be for 18/21 birthdays, but for her says lockdown’ [hmm).

I realily can’t see why you’d start a thread about them, though. Bizarre.
