To say that Tom Hardy as James Bond is all wrong

I just cannot get my head around him being the new James Bond. He just isn’t that. I know exactly what he will do to James Bond and if I know that already, why would I want to see the movie?
Please give us someone else. 😖

Sorry but he isn’t as good an actor as some of the others. Even for a Bond-level role where the range is much smaller.

TH is great, absolutely amazing but Bond isn't for him and he isn't for Bond. Also think if he was to accept it, we would be robbed of seeing him in roles that are more challenging and right for him. I can see the appeal of saying yes to such an iconic role, but he is too good for it.
I totally agree with this. He is probably the only prominent actor who will easily pull off a Bane, a joker and a Batman at the same time. I do wonder about what happened between him and Charlize Theron in Mad Max. Wish we could find out a bit more about what happened behind the scenes. Theron implies that Hardy was one of the reasons she was deemed too old for reprising her role in the next instalment. That looks like a roundabout way of saying he was a dick. Theron is a far better actress than him too, plus same age as him (please don’t say he has more range: they just don’t write for women in Hollywood and that is not Theron’s fault).

Unfortunately dc just made him the usual bland ish action figure...

Someone with laughing eyes, lightness and humour...

I call it Bourne Bond as that is what they seemed to push for in recent years. All the things I loved about Bond are almost all gone.

He isn't who I'd choose, as I think he's too similar to Daniel Craig and I'd prefer something completely different.

Oh god no, he’s all wrong. I’ve never got the obsession with Tom Hardy. He has a house near me and I hear he’s lovely but he ain’t no bond.

Riz Ahmad is such an interesting suggestion. He’d need to bulk up and not sure if he’s still a bit young.

How about Domnhall Gleeson, if we can have a blonde bond surely we can have a red head? He can definitely pull off the posh English accent and he looks great in a suit.
I was really hoping to see him as the next Doctor, whenever they may be.

Tom Hardy is such a charismatic actor with an insane presence on screen...I think it would be really interesting to see what he would do with the character of James Bond. Simply putting another standard, attractive, posh boy in the role won't do much to keep things fresh. People reacted badly to Daniel Craig in the beginning but he transformed the character into something gritty, human and flawed rather than the old-fashioned cardboard action men/ladies' men we had before...

Tom Hardy is posh he just always acts as "gritty" characters.

For me he is similar to DC - id far rather they took it a different direction to stay relevant.

Wish DC had done 2 less... Feel like he has done too many films.
