My house is sparkly clean, the last lot of washing is blowing in the wind, I've been shopping and now I'm waiting on Amazon to delivery my new winter boots, whilst enjoying the last of the summer sun.

I've already done over 9,000 steps and later I'm going swimming.

It's a good Saturday!

Six year old explained to me today that raining cats and dogs doesn't actually mean cats and dogs come from the sky, like he thought it hadWink

I'm currently picking out what to wear for my new squeeze who's whisking me off to a posh hotel tonight. He's very fit, romantic, intelligent, attentive in bed and he adores me. Just what I need after leaving my cheating ex of near 20 years to his bit on the side!!

Its lovely & sunny. I live in Scotland; this doesn't happen anywhere near as much as I'd like!

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 19/09/2020 13:45

I heard a tawny owl hooting in the sycamore tree last night. The weather was so warm for September that we were able to sit out on the back patio with a glass of wine.

I’m heading to Cornwall on Monday. I’ve never been to Cornwall. I plan to relax, swim in the Atlantic even if it’s rainy, eat fish n chips, pasties and cream tea.
Almost ready to leave, as in house spotless, cat sitter booked, beds washed, ironing cleared. Just need to pack.
Cornwall, here we come.

QuestionableMouse · 19/09/2020 13:48

I have cornflake tart in the oven and I'm sitting with a glass of cider while it bakes.

while ignoring the pots in the sink that need to be washed

CatSmith · 19/09/2020 13:51

Oh, and I’ve lost 2stone 3lbs as of this morning. It’s taken me over a year and I’ve still got at least 1stone 4lb to go to reach my target weight. But this morning I was 10stone 3lb.

Notimeforaname · 19/09/2020 13:52

I made cannabutter last night. From my organically home grown marijuana. Will make a lemon sponge today.

QuestionableMouse · 19/09/2020 13:55

For some reason the idea of organic marijuana gave me the giggles. 😂😂😂😄😄

Notimeforaname · 19/09/2020 14:00

It'll definitely do that. 😂

HelpIcantfindaname · 19/09/2020 14:22

Went to Slimming World this morning & got my stone & a half award, just rejoined 5 weeks ago.
Meeting my partner for a walk soon. We have new restrictions here & can't meet others outside our household. Partner is in my bubble but he has a bad chest & I'm back teaching young children with no social distancing, so we aren't going to get close. The sun is shining for our walk though.

Fivebyfive2 · 19/09/2020 14:25

Love this thread, happy vibes!

We're having to isolate and our baby is teething, but... Our online shop arrived today and it is full of treats so at least we'll eat well 😋 It's sunny enough to sit in the garden, which the baby loves.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/09/2020 14:26

Love this thread, thank you OP.

I have had a lie in with the cat, and DP brought me a bacon sandwich and tea in bed

It’s sunny, and the washing is out on the line

I am going to have a big bath and put on new pyjamas - plus always fresh sheets on a Saturday

We’re having veggie burgers for tea, and (best thing) I snagged a heavily reduced Colin Caterpillar cake yesterday

TheDuchessofMalfy · 19/09/2020 14:26

Done my first 30 min run on C25k!

Notimeforaname · 19/09/2020 14:27

JudystilldreamsofhorsesTHAT is how you do SaturdayGrin. Sounds like the perfect day.

KatyaZamolodchikova · 19/09/2020 14:31

DSD aged 14 is super excited about doing some baking together today while DH watches football. I am quietly thrilled she is keen to spend time with me still even though she’s a teenage.

QuestionableMouse · 19/09/2020 14:45

@Notimeforaname

It'll definitely do that. 😂
😂😂😂😂
WarmSausageTea · 19/09/2020 14:51

Thanks, @waspie, accepted and gifted. 👍🏻

Goodoldfashionedploverboy · 19/09/2020 15:04

I've just had a big Côte at Home delivery. Tonight I'm having swordfish and fries, followed by a lemon posset with a glass of pink Champagne!

I Cuprinol'ed the fence earlier on. It was a dirty job, but very overdue. Finally got myself together to do it today.

I have a beautiful vase of lilies on my kitchen windowsill and sun flowers in the bathroom.

BlueJava · 19/09/2020 15:10

The one magazine I have on subscription came today - I love it because the photography is so good on it! Just a reader not a rep of the company I promise!

I'm done
Camomila · 19/09/2020 15:11

DS1 and DH have gone to see PILs for the first time since Feb. DS1 is so happy to see them (MIL has just had a cataract out so they've all been isolating/tested negative, and is taking annual leave to recover so she won't take any potential school germs in to work)

My dissertation is due in 10 days and is at a reasonable stage rather than full on panic which is rare for me Smile

orangejuicer · 19/09/2020 16:45

catsmith you are going to love it. The sea is blue!

sanpro it was lovely this morning. Sadly I wasn't able to do much baby wearing as DS came out at 10lb3. Definitely cant do it now almost 2 years on Grin my choice today was Caitlin Moran, which has actually been very insightful despite the criticism she's had from some on here.

DrGachet · 19/09/2020 16:48

Thanks for that BoggledBudgie, I've been jotting a few things down in my journal. I mask all the inner turmoil really well (without realising I'm doing so at the time), and hope the clinician will be able to see through that.

I'm glad your financial situation has improved Smile
