I don't get why this row is still going on, unless people are just bored and happy to provoke each other/keep the 'race row' alive by keeping it going round and round in circles?

The new board is up and running and here to stay - FACT.

The only purpose this thread appears to be serving right now, is as a platform for people to keep goading one another.

I had a wee look at it today and just the sort of stuff I expected. Just general chat mainly but with a bias for ethnicity.

To me, we got Scotsnet so we didn't have to keep explaining that things are different and the comments/solutions weren't relevant or wouldn't work here, it becomes tiresome, it's not that people aren't trying to be helpful but it's easier to ask people who know what you are talking about.

Targeting your audience as it were. So like a sub forum. You might have a forum about Hobbies but posts about golf might get lost unless there is one about sports or one specifically about golf. If people end up not using a section and it becomes too quiet then I don't see an issue with it them being removed as not needed. So use it and enjoy.

Quaagars and Havaiana you keep repeating that anyone referencing now deleted posts is hearsay and not true, as if this discredits what those posters ( including me) are saying.

Anyone who read the previous threads whilst all the comments were there knows that these things WERE said and that we are relaying what was said. Those threads are now holier than Swiss cheese to quote MN usual thread deletion message.

All you are doing by repeatedly denying these posts existed is discrediting absolutely anything else you say, even if it may be a valid point. If you are prepared to lie about now deleted posts why should anybody believe anything you say?

I’m honestly flabbergasted. You’re expecting me to believe what you and others are saying as gospel even though you have no proof, screenshots or anything. Why are you so entitled? Isn’t this another example of white privilege? You expect your word to be final with no proof?

Maybe you could have a little bit of respect for other women who experience horrific racism celebrations your success and looking to emulate it rather than being just another person to tell us 'this isn't your place'. I haven't gone and posted this on the new black mnetters board, this is a thread about getting a new board, that's what I was referring to

Why would there not be respect from us? Worse, why would we not support others experiencing racism? Please don't think that at all.

Sincere best wishes for success in organising for your board. I hope that you can see that it's not for the black section to take a lead in making arguments for another section.

Respectfully, that lead and initiative has to come from those who say they want it. It's for you (plural) to make your arguments.

Support? Of course you have it! Assuredly so. Just as others have supported the black women here in their request and campaign. Such empathy is really appreciated.

But it took a determined black woman to start the push for it, and my total respect to her, and the others, for the crap they've weathered in speaking up.

FGS how many times. It wasn't until halfway through this thread that I was aware that starting our own threads were necessary to garner the attention of @MNHQ. hmm

Tagging MNHQ in posts doesn't work. Report a post if you want to draw their attention to a point you (or some else) are making or start a thread in Site Stuff. It's also worth reporting your own thread in SS to be sure MNHQ see it.
