Adult DS wants me to wash his cap?

I went to DS's place, and mentioned one of the threads I'd seen with superb puns, ''Fishy Willy'' {12th Sept}
He was surprised at the discussion and liked the puns, and then said as an aside..

' Would you be able to wash my cap in bio tex, please ?'

I said I'd Put it to Mumsnet ...And see what the good women on here say..Just for fun.

DS then said {re washing caps}

'' That's what mums are for ''

So....Do I soak the slightly sweat marked cap in Bio Tex, and dry it so it keeps it's shape, or do I give the bio tex to him?

I'd tell him where he can buy BioTex from.

I would wash it in full strength Ariel with added bleach at 90 degrees and tumble dry it. I’m sure he will be very grateful.

What the hell is a cap? On the context of the fish I assume something sexual ?

I'm not being disingenuous, I really don't understand why on earth you would be washing his sweaty cap for him?

He clearly isn't a child, as you say you are at his 'place'.

I wouldn't go to any of my adult children's homes and start doing their washing for them. What a very odd thing for him even to ask.

Is this normal for mothers to go to their adult children's home and wash things for them? Or is it just male children that get this sort of service?

No wonder there are so many posters on MN complaining that their husbands/partners don't have basic life skills in the home.

Oh just seen Polnm's post I didn't know what the 'fishy willy' reference meant, so just assumed it was a cap for his head.

The likelihood of it being any of the ones listed takes it to a whole new level.

They don’t make Biotex any more 😕 (or at least they don’t sell it anywhere near me) and Vanish just isn’t the same.
