Adult DS wants me to wash his cap?

I went to DS's place, and mentioned one of the threads I'd seen with superb puns, ''Fishy Willy'' {12th Sept}
He was surprised at the discussion and liked the puns, and then said as an aside..

' Would you be able to wash my cap in bio tex, please ?'

I said I'd Put it to Mumsnet ...And see what the good women on here say..Just for fun.

DS then said {re washing caps}

'' That's what mums are for ''
Boom!

So....Do I soak the slightly sweat marked cap in Bio Tex, and dry it so it keeps it's shape, or do I give the bio tex to him?

@DameHannahRelf

Clean a mans cap for him and he has a clean cap for a day; teach a man to clean his cap and he has a clean cap for a lifetime... Smile
Ok so the OP was making a foreskin joke?

I can’t believe an adult msn would ask his mum to wash his dick though?

Regularsizedrudy · 13/09/2020 14:55

I feel like I just read something in another language

Moonmelodies · 13/09/2020 14:56

Just chuck it in the wash with everything else, no?

CherryValanc · 13/09/2020 15:01

If we're lucky it'll be a flat or baseball cap.

Don't think "MN" collectively are weird about adult children, one thing helping your grown children out and another being ask/told to do something (usually menial) they can do themselves.

Parenting aim is your children not needing you.

GabsAlot · 13/09/2020 15:03

i dont get the pun thing but know someone who takes his washing over to his mummy-hes 40 and earns 100k plus

its pathetic

TSSDNCOP · 13/09/2020 15:07

@GabsAlot my DH used to do that after he moved out. It was a way to continue giving his DM money as her income took quite a dip after he left.

MagentaRocks · 13/09/2020 15:07

I must be missing something. No idea what is funny.

Eh?!

ToastyCrumpet · 13/09/2020 15:56

I’d tell him to shove his cap where the sun doesn’t shine!

oakleaffy · 13/09/2020 15:58

@NancyPickford

Does he have no hands? Tell him to wash it himself, the useless lump.
LOL! I said he'd get some indignant comments . To be fair he does some good tasks for me, like taking spiky Pyrocantha garden cuttings &c in a trailer to the farm bonfire. He isn't useless and works hard, but I said I'd put the vote to MN.

@PatriciaPerch

he'd be fostering behaviour enabled by his MOther, surely?
Possibly... I don't mind washing delicate stuff...but in exchange he does stuff for me. Brings sacks of ready chopped firewood &c.

There was a post yesterday about an odiferous penis...MN mods had started a pun thing going...It might be searchable still... DS loves a good pun....

I'm not sure how to link it.. maybe here:

Which one of us is drunk? What has pyrocantha got to do with this?

trust me hes not paying her

It is an old ~American imported Baseball cap..You are right...too delicate to bear the rigours of his washing machine.

I think I'll lend him my small hand wash bowl and Bio Tex..{vintage caps are quite tricky to wash as the peaks can lose their shape}
Anyway, the purpose of the post was to show him what MN was about {he asked} ...I was explaining the AIBU, and said I'd put the cap wash request to the board.

Thanks!

I know it's Sunday afternoon but how boring and juvenile.

BastardBiscuits · 13/09/2020 16:17

I’m going to have a few drinks and then come back to this. It might make more sense then

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 13/09/2020 16:23

Buy him this for Christmas.

Feetonthebeads · 13/09/2020 16:25

What the fuck is a cap

sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea · 13/09/2020 16:26

@BastardBiscuits I might do the same. Whilst doing a dot to dot pattern. And wearing a child's flamenco shoe on my left hand. That would make sense.

1forAll74 · 13/09/2020 16:28

I think it's a very nice post as you mentioned pyracantha, my son has some growing near his rural home, but it's me who has to prune it, and dispose of it. He is wheelchair bound, and can't reach the high bits.

Also he went to the USA, And came back with a stetson type hat, I won't wash that though, as he would kill me if I ruined it. !!

Yonijust · 13/09/2020 16:28

Tell him to wear it under the shower, 2 birds, 1 stone.

Boom.

Bosh.

Ooooosh

CustardySergeant · 13/09/2020 16:32

Feetonthebeads "What the fuck is a cap"

It's an item of headgear. Just for you I put the word cap into Google and did an image search. This was the result:-
