I once was about 15 years ago getting my GCSEs results.

OP posts:

In the crowd outside Buck Palace during Andrew and Fergies wedding.

Thurmanmurman · 13/09/2020 21:59

I was in the audience for the Graham Norton show about 15 years ago.

WiddlinDiddlin · 13/09/2020 22:02

Freds weather show... shudder

Interviewed for some pet related thing at the national pet show a few years back.

Behind the scenes involvement, tons of stuff mostly dog/animal related as consultant/trainer/general brain - colleague who I work with frequently owns a production company.

Itsmybirthday19 · 13/09/2020 22:26

I was on Countdown for a few episodes.

And I've just filmed a new game show so I'll be on this autumn too.

OneWildNightWithJBJ · 13/09/2020 22:46

Just as an audience member for a few TV shows, most visible on Live and Kicking, when I was a year too old to be on it! Would rather have been on a Going Live mind you...

Slightlyunhinged · 14/09/2020 01:50

On Flog It selling an item. It was guided at £80 to £120 and it made £480. Very pleased with that!

Readandwalk · 14/09/2020 02:22

Please Rose of Tralee contestant tell us more. To the uninitiated it's a sort of beauty competition in Ireland. Father Ted's lovely girl competition is based on it.

Did you have a lovely bottom and what was your speciality act?

Pandamumium · 14/09/2020 08:09

Eating spaghetti standing up on a programme about students starting university.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 14/09/2020 12:18

@Itsmybirthday19 - my mum was on Countdown too - sadly only one episode - she came up against a man who went on to become an octochamp. Dsis and I were in the audience.

qwertypie · 14/09/2020 12:22

I was in a couple of shows as an extra. Good fun!

Hingeandbracket · 14/09/2020 12:31

Yes

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 14/09/2020 12:34

she came up against a man who went on to become an octochamp.

For some bizarre reason, my brain read that the first time as 'octonaut' Grin

PontiusPilates · 14/09/2020 12:45

In the early ‘80s I was in the audience of a few kids’ shows at ATV/Central (Midlands ITV) that my dad was doing studio photography for. I met Roland Rat!

Later Dad was a news cameraman out of Pebble Mill for BBC Midlands Today and I appeared in a handful of pieces. Holding the (new! Newsworthy!) lion cubs at the safari park was my favourite.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 14/09/2020 12:51

Grin @WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll!

Itsmybirthday19 · 14/09/2020 17:39

@ SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius

Yes, I was taken out in my third game by an Octochamp who was in the series final. I felt ok about it tbh, I got my teapot!

PutThemInTheIronMaiden · 14/09/2020 18:48

Absolutely gutted I never got to be on Knightmare. I applied with my friends!

Ameanstreakamilewide · 15/09/2020 22:19

I've been on the radio! I did the voice over for an advert.

Somebody at work asked me if I wanted to do it and i'd just finished an important phone call, so the adrenaline was pumping! And I immediately agreed to do it.

It was brilliant.

JunoJigglewick · 15/09/2020 22:23

Nope. I was filmed in a pub with my friend as background people in a news report about binge drinking. We didn't make the programme, I suspect entirely due to the fact we were absolutely hammered.

catfeets · 15/09/2020 22:39

I haven't but my DP has been on quite a few things.
He did newsround interviews and was also an actor for a while, mainly small parts plus some background work. He's also been filmed a few times while rescuing people, mainly when the crew are documenting people being airlifted to hospital.

catfeets · 15/09/2020 22:43

Just remembered I was asked if I could be interviewed about a Roman site I was visiting. They came at me with the cameras and I pretty much ran away. I had a cold and looked like shit so refused to be part of it. Another visitor practically threw herself in front of the camera. We watched while it was filmed and she was awful - it never made it onto the local news Grin.

ShinyPie · 15/09/2020 22:49

I also applied, but never got on! It's probably because we could tell left from right. Grin
Wingingitsince2018 · 15/09/2020 22:51

I have been on celebrity juice as a zombie and my husband was on inside out being interviewed in a barbers (he cant remember what he was actually asked out though!)

SorrelForbes · 15/09/2020 22:51

In the 80s I was on an episode of Johnny Ball's Think Again and more recently I was in one of Michael Portillo's railway programmes (in a sketch at a seaside theatre!).

Londonmummy66 · 15/09/2020 22:51

Several times - best one standing behind Prince Charles before he did a dive at the Mary Rose site (before they lifted her). Also looking very grumpy singing at the Lambeth Conference and again at the start of a Race for Life when I nearly knocked the reporter over because she didn't get out of the way fast enough - that was my favourite....

Been on the Radio a lot though when I was working.

Wingingitsince2018 · 15/09/2020 22:53

Oh and DH was also on livr and kicking, dancing extremely awkwardly behind Hanson! His parents have it recorded on VHS and it is incredible.
