I once was about 15 years ago getting my GCSEs results.

BashfulClam · 11/09/2020 21:29

Yes I used to work for a television company.

Beekeeper1 · 11/09/2020 21:30

Several times - couple of quiz programmes, a documentary series, a holiday destination series and, when I lived on a little island, a cookery programme with a Michelin starred chef where we caught and cooked our own food

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 11/09/2020 21:30

Stood behind Dermot O’Leary on a now defunct Top of the Pops rip off that was on BBC Choice (predecessor to BBC3 and 4). I was 15 and grinning like a fucking idiot.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 11/09/2020 21:31

I was on our local news programme for about 5 seconds, leading a donkey in some sort of Easter parade my primary school put on. I was probably about 7.

I was also in the background of a documentary that was made about my then-workplace, about 15 years ago. I was seen arriving at the staff Christmas party and waving awkwardly at my boss, having just realised the camera was on me.

My brother also wrote to Jim'll Fix It, but thankfully his fix-it was completely implausible so he didn't get to go on.

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 11/09/2020 21:32

No but I'm often concerned in case I recognise myself during one of those awful news segments about obese people who they film walking around city centres from the belly down.

MyTeethAreInMyMouth · 11/09/2020 21:32

Not directly, But was in the audience at Britain's got talent, The camera caught me a few times and it ended up on itv and the youtube video they uploaded.

PomBearWithoutHerOFRS · 11/09/2020 21:33

I was in the audience for Razzmatazz twice I met Roy Wood to talk to, he was lovely, and saw Bucks Fizz, Ultravox, Hugh Masekela, Jim Diamond, and Alvin Stardust sing. They each did the same song about six times Grin

WezWally · 11/09/2020 21:33

Kind of. I went to see my favourite band playing on the Southbank on Daybreak and I was dancing like an idiot at 8:30am and then the track that was being mimed to skipped so I shouted 'wooooo' to mask the embarrassment and it was just cringe.

Fuckthelotofyou · 11/09/2020 21:33

I was on This Morning last summer and featured on the local news when I was a kid playing in our school band for The Queen

ghostyslovesheets · 11/09/2020 21:33

Yes - C4 school swap show - my daughter was in it and I caught on camera a few times

ifiwasascent · 11/09/2020 21:33

I was on the chase

SorrelBlackbeak · 11/09/2020 21:33

I was in Morse. I witnessed an opera singer getting murdered which was very very shocking!

LateMumma · 11/09/2020 21:34

Yes, on Screen test 35 years ago. We made with to finals and lost!

RainbowRaine · 11/09/2020 21:34

Wide awake club, singing in the shower, if anyone else is old enough to remember that.

Jennygentle · 11/09/2020 21:35

I was in the audience of Question Time aged 19, you could glimpse me briefly looking very awkward. My then-boyfriend was very left-wing and heckled Tebbit heroically.

RaspberryToupee · 11/09/2020 21:35

A few times, I did some work as an extra when I was a teenager.

TheLastStarfighter · 11/09/2020 21:36

@toomanypillows

I was the subject of a BBC documentary. 🤓

I also used to be a TV extra so knocking about in the background of loads of shows 😂

Ooooh! What about?
ghostyslovesheets · 11/09/2020 21:36

ImNotWhoYouThinkIam · 11/09/2020 21:38

Yes. I was an extra in soldier solider, and in a local news thing about the am dram group I was with.

I'm also on a breastfeeding dvd that used to be handed out to pregnant mums. Grin

Marylou62 · 11/09/2020 21:39

I worked in a London neonatal unit and we had a film crew follow myself and a Dr collect a poorly baby from another hospital and bring it down to the unit.. It was for Panorama.. They filmed all day and I was so excited.. Had all my family round the telly to see 5 seconds of my hands putting the baby into the incubator! I knew it was my hands because I'd been on holiday so had a great tan but had taken my watch off. (Baby was OK)

AlexCabot · 11/09/2020 21:39

I was a child model so lots of adverts, most of which weren't broadcast in the UK so I never saw them!

tumbletastic · 11/09/2020 21:40

Yes for a charity and was on cinema screen in same ad alongside she and dc
