I'm only being light hearted. But do you ever get curious what It would be like to be with a different type of man. Not to cheat or anything. Just a curious to what's the difference.

I'm with a lovely man who works with computers. So he's not an outdoorsy man really. He likes a walk. But he isnt into sport apart from formula one. He's a really hands on dad. Does a little around the house but he's useless at keeping tidy. he happily pops anywhere to get anything and he's very caring. But he is not one of those blokes that cuts the grass regular. Gets on with painting (I always have to do it to get him to help) and he's not a drinker or one of the lads if that makes sense. He's always moaning he's tired and if he cuts the grass his backs gone for the rest of the day lol!

I have some workmen outside doing a driveway. Group of 6. They are very blokey. Smoking.(not saying this is attractive lol) working hard for 10 hours a day lifting and digging etc. I can't help but think ooo they look manly. It's just something about an outdoorsy tradesman.

Probably making myself sound a horrible person. I just sometimes wonder what it would be like to be with the more man's man man 😂

I want to make it clear I'm happy but appreciating the flexing muscles outside and the dirty white t shirts 😂😂

Dressing up clothes for men are available. Not generally aimed at the straight market though.

@leafeater

I mean, you've got to admit a tree surgeon is generally more attractive than a tax inspector Grin
To you, perhaps. I prefer a man who works with his brain. All the 'manly man' tripe gets on my wick tbh.
SBTLove · 12/09/2020 00:29

@toconclude
Do you by think a tradesman uses his brain?
4 year apprenticeship and studying?
I really despise the attitudes on here, that a tradesman or manual worker is of lesser intelligence/morals than a white collar worker. 😡

SBTLove · 12/09/2020 00:29

*not think

@KarlKennedysDurianFruit

The comments about working class tradesmen getting pissed, gambling, being sexually selfish etc are disgusting. I work with sex offenders and domestic abuse perpetrators, plenty of them are 'nice white collar professionals'
That is my experience of social services employment too.

This is interesting because I used to be smartly dressed for work, but now work in construction, DH doesn't think much of my new work outfits...

Shoregirl8 · 12/09/2020 11:00

Tradesman are far from dumb. They are perfectly smart. They are creative. They are artistic. They have physical strength. They can visualise things. They understand what order things need to be done in. They make huge differences to peoples lives. They also keep our homes in safe working order and prevent further damage. They have many skills that I wish I had!

This was never meant to be about putting them in the dumb uneducated bracket. It's actually way more talented than someone in a suit being paid a ton of money.

I was focused on one thing. Humourously saying they look manly and there's something attractive/sexy about a man getting his hands dirty and getting the job done. It's probably because I can't get my oh to do much to the exterior of the house. He never thinks to wash the windows or pull up the weeds or just get on with it and take the rubbish to the tip. I wish he was more DIY and garden based. He gets alot of headaches from his ICT job and it wastes chunks of our time. He's just a sluggish person I guess. I know women can do it all but I've got the kids stuck to me.

Hope this post hasn't upset anyone. Was no more serious than magic Mike lol

@MotorwayDiva

I think it's the other way around for men isn't it. The whole mini skirt, photo copier thing. Although it's nonsense. It's a nice thought for them I guess. I guess it's less sexy. Although I can imagine some men find a girl who knows an engine sexy lol?
