Every time you refresh the page you’re presented with a picture of a person. But none of the people are real. The thought of the manipulation and repercussions are mind-boggling to me. It makes me really uncomfortable.

Okay, just clicked on it and the very first image looks just like someone I used to vaguely know. Fuuuuuck.
I have seen this site before and it's very odd. Brr. Reckon you can tell by the eyes, as someone else said.

It's SO creep op! I agree awful..in the same way that deep fake technology freaks me out. It's just the thought of horrible ways it could be used.

It's impressively good! You can often tell the image isn't real by looking at the background - the algorithm isn't quite so good at rendering convincing walls or bookshelves.

All the 'people' posted on this thread look like they are from the same family, they all look very similar looking.

Its so uncanny and creepy. And often used for weird purposes. I once watched a youtuber who used this site to create multiple fake Facebook accounts to troll from. Weird as hell.

The weird distortions where there’s part of another person in the picture make me suspicious: if they’re all entirely computer-generated, why is there a distorted second person in the pic? Or is the site taking existing photos of real people and ‘tweakIng’ them, thereby distorting other people in the original pic?

It's not averaging pictures out, it's creating them from scratch.

But if that’s the case why are there partial, distorted second people in some of the pics? If it’s not ‘adapting’ existing pics, why was the program set to generate additional faces in the pics when it gets them very wrong in pretty much every instance?
