My swearing has changed from the normal profanities to random words like flip flop, sausages, flaming gala so my kids don't swear.
DS came home from nursery once having been taught 'little bugger' from one of the kids - we spent the weekend turning it into burger lol 😆 he got bored
Now (hes8) he says 'mummy this programme isn't appropriate for me' if he hears any swearing lol 😆
Good luck

No need for punishment- she's learning the langauge that you and your partner are teaching her. If you were speaking french, she would also be talking in french. She is definitely not trying to get a reaction or pushing boundaries. Just teach her something different.

So this "old thread! has come up again! That's good.

I just wanted to say, having posted above that my granddaughter's other grandparents swear a lot in her presence, that they have stopped doing so, and as a result so has my granddaughter, now 4 going on 5. So yes, it works! She is at home with her mum or on a Steiner playgroup so she is not exposed to any swearing at all.
