Seriously stuck in a food rut at the moment and I’m so uninspired I’m rarely cooking a proper meal.

What’s on the menu in your home tonight?

Tomato, aubergine and mozzarella pasta bake, with a green salad. I bought some mini summer fruit tartlet things in M&S too, so eyeing one of them up for pudding later.

beef bourguignon in the slow cooker. Now we are all back at school and work, I've hauled the slow cooker out and it's so lovely to come home to a cooked meal!!

@Calic0

Love this sort of thread!

We are having an oven baked chorizo and roasted red pepper “risotto”. A household favourite.

Could you share the recipe?

Slow cooker meal for us too this evening! T'is the season Grin.

We had "Campfire Stew" this evening, from the Pinch of Nom recipe book. I was dubious actually, especially as the piece of gammon I had was a be good to yourself one and looked teeny. But it ended up going a really long way, especially once all the pulses and veg were added. And it was really tasty, and fairly healthy too. Kids wouldn't even try it and just ate the ciabatta I served with it and are now eating apples, but that is standard round here tbh!

We're bangers n' mash and a shite load of veges tonight.

AdoraBell · 09/09/2020 20:26

Pasta, leftover beef and veg. Added ham to finish the packet before anyone opens the next one.

Really wanted a Chinese take away but the beef needed using up. I’ll have the Chinese food tomorrow.

A bowl of crisps. It's been a long week.

Tonight is greek marinaded lamb skewers with Pilaf rice and salad.

cricketmum84 · 10/09/2020 13:35

Green cuisine Swedish style balls. I've roasted a big bag of tomatoes with olive oil and garlic and herbs to blend to make a lovely rich sauce.

Ninkanink · 10/09/2020 14:47

Korean.

We were going to do a Kimchi pork stew but we may try something else instead. It’s our first time cooking Korean at home.

mbosnz · 10/09/2020 14:54

I'll be interested to hear how the Korean goes - I love Korean food!

That tomato sauce sounds absolutely gorgeous, cricketmum84!

I currently have braising steak with carrots, onion, mushroom and red wine in the slow cooker. Serving it with cheesy mashed potatoes. Can’t wait for dinner time 😋

BigBlondeBimbo · 10/09/2020 16:49

Chicken curry and garlic potatoes here! Can't wait.

AdoraBell · 10/09/2020 20:17

Chinese takeaway didn’t happen, we were in Pizza Hut at 4 this afternoon.

AdoraBell · 14/09/2020 20:31

Steak, mashed potatoes, tomatoes and ‘shrooms.

Last night, brisket with roast potatoes and veg.

monkeyonthetable · 14/09/2020 20:34
