Boris out by Feb and then Gove and Cummings will run the show. The electorate as a whole doesn’t have to like Gove - only party members who will vote for the next leader. In many ways that’s worse. Gove is an intelligent (if malevolent) man whom Cummings is likely to see as more of an equal, and this will be much more dangerous than the current arrangement of Randy Pandy and his puppet master.

@yolio rumours are that he did have covid but his hospital admission was for complications from another long term condition he allegedly has which has been chronic since the election.

His liking for violin music created a lot of tension at home which caused his condition to relapse so he was sent to Scotland where the atmosphere was drier.

Allegedly.

SixesAndEights · 25/08/2020 23:45

I can believe that but haven't cottoned onto the violin music reference...

Loving your subtlety there!

Having a great laugh at all this. Will all come out in the wash soon I think.

Stradivarius has nothing on this.

netflixismysidehustle · 25/08/2020 23:49

When he had the big fight with Carrie last year it wasn't because of a 28 year old violinist.

CountreeGurl · 25/08/2020 23:50

He will go before the end of his term for sure. I think his illness refers to his rumoured alcoholism

netflixismysidehustle · 25/08/2020 23:50

Allegedly

If you were to unrelatedly type the words boris and violin into google or twitter...
areyoubeingserviced · 25/08/2020 23:53

Boris Johnson is desperate to resign.
He is basically a lazy posh boy who thought that being PM was all fun and games. Then along came covid.
I give it six months and he will make another U turn and announce that he is stepping down for health reasons.

Starsabove1 · 25/08/2020 23:53

@netflixismysidehustle I think that row was over a haircut wasn’t it?

SixesAndEights · 26/08/2020 00:15

types Boris Violin

Ahhhhh!

He dosn't think much of the BBC !!!

yolio · 26/08/2020 00:17

Borisexit Idiot that few have much respect for anymore. Most realise he has been promoted above his station now.

Cummings rubbing his hands A. for getting Brexit through, and B. for getting Johnson to exit stage left.

Cummings is a sinister figure IMV. Rasputin comes to mind.

SBTLove · 26/08/2020 00:31

Going to resign? I thought he had already.
There’s been rumours for years of his fondness for drink and gear, I’d say that’s likely the health issues not C19.

Sophiafour · 26/08/2020 00:57

The not-so-divine Dom is beyond sinister.

I reckon the Gove-DC dyad is rather closer in philosophy to Thanateros than the House of Romanov, if not something even more esoteric and dark, judging by their ramblings....I'd like to think they both need to be careful what they ask for, but they'll continue to prosper, while the rest of us struggle.

I honestly don't know what it will take for those who voted this bunch of miscreants into power in December to understand, let alone care about, the damage they've done, for several generations ahead.

Californiastreaming · 26/08/2020 01:00

Hopefully he resigns and calls a GE and we get this useless shit show of a Government out.

I despise the Tory party

PhilSwagielka · 26/08/2020 01:01

What does Cummings even want?

Californiastreaming · 26/08/2020 01:02

And just to tell you all, Bernard Castle is a truly wonderful beautiful place, don't let Cummings put you off!!

Staffy1 · 26/08/2020 01:02

He's largely an incompetent lazy sociopath and I'd like to see him gone very very soon. Unfortunately he'd be replaced by Gove no doubt, who is a terrifyingly grim and reptilian prospect.

While quite a few politicians strike me as reptilian, Gove has always reminded me of a Thunderbirds puppet.
It wouldn't surprise me if Boris did resign, I think it's all just a bit of fun for him and he's not really that bothered about which way things go as it won't affect him much, only the peasants (us).

Didkdt · 26/08/2020 01:10

Mary Wakefield is an arrogant nasty piece of work.
There are 100s of men as driven as Cummings shafting anyone in their way.
I can see Raab as our next Pm

oakleaffy · 26/08/2020 01:16

@Perching

No.

But cummings really needs to go!!

Agree 100%. Cummings ought to be called Gowings.
oakleaffy · 26/08/2020 01:17

Gove slipped up.

Sophiafour · 26/08/2020 01:23

@PhilSwagielka World domination and power over the proles, evidently....I reckon he feeds on the energy generated by distress, unhappiness, and exasperation. Yet by some accounts he genuinely seems to think he's some kind of "man of the people". In other accounts, he seems to pretty much despise anyone who isn't him...

His wife's family have some very interesting ancestral activity connected to that Northumbrian castle of theirs.

Sophiafour · 26/08/2020 01:24

I'm also sure it won't be long before someone who knows DC "well" appears to defend him and tell us he's just a teddy bear really and utterly devoted to family life. (10...9....8....7....)

netflixismysidehustle · 26/08/2020 01:33
@netflixismysidehustle I think that row was over a haircut wasn’t it?
I don't know. I've only heard about his love for the violin on here in the last few days on here.
Whose haircut? Him or her?
