BryonyBev - he does to me too.
Although some pictutes almost look like a lookalike -not him!

BlogTheBlogger · 25/08/2020 20:53

@The80sweregreat

Alexander is Boris's real first name. Boris is a middle name.
And he CHOOSES to be called Boris?! He is even more weird than I thought
The80sweregreat · 25/08/2020 20:54

Michael Gove really worries me. With B J you know what your getting ( not a lot but it's predictable rubbish) Gove is much more slimy and ( as I said before ) organized. He has agendas and can play the ' long games'
That's how I see him. A lurker.

toastmeahotcrossbun · 25/08/2020 20:56

I thought that Boris Johnson looked a bit better today in his trendy red boiler suit
Grin that trend has so far passed me by

toastmeahotcrossbun · 25/08/2020 20:58

Yes Dom has probably already got Gove lined up for us, with his lovely wife who will no doubt be pleased to lord it over us from No 10

The80sweregreat · 25/08/2020 20:58

Blog, it goes back to Oxford and his Bullingdon club days as a undergraduate. Alexander decided that a new persona was needed and he decided to use his middle name as it's more quirky and interesting than his real name is.

SabrinaThwaite · 25/08/2020 20:59

I suppose the only benefit to Gove is that Cummings (hopefully) wouldn’t be lurking in the background

Don’t bet on that. Cummings was Gove’s SpAd when he was busy fucking up education.

timetest · 25/08/2020 20:59

The80sweregreat completely agree about Gove and the long game. He gives me the shivers. Creep.

SabrinaThwaite · 25/08/2020 21:01

Sarah Vain - the Poundshop Lady MacBeth.

To ask if Boris really resigning
CaptainMerica · 25/08/2020 21:02

He said he is expecting "significant normality" by Xmas, didn't he? I assumed that meant him sitting with his feet up raking in money while doing fuck all work.

DGRossetti · 25/08/2020 21:03

@The80sweregreat

Alexander is Boris's real first name. Boris is a middle name.
"man of the people" Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson ...
SentientAndCognisant · 25/08/2020 21:03

No he’ll not resign he has no integrity,he’s egotistical and insular
There’s the alleged scandal he has been implicated in. No doubt he’ll Sail that through too

KarenFitzkaren · 25/08/2020 21:03

Nah. I doubt it. Sounds like the usual msm bollocks.

midsomermurderess · 25/08/2020 21:04

Who knows but he's pretty much a dead duck now. It's really hard to row back from this. Backbenchers will be consumed with rumours, cabinet ministers will be having wet dreams about their glorious futures, the press will be watching his every move for hints. I'm interested in who set this up. Was it a plot hatched to get him out, or is he on on it?

The80sweregreat · 25/08/2020 21:04

Micheal Gove is scary.
His been overlooked before, but that won't bother him if there is a snifter of a chance of the top job! He'll just blame the previous P M and covid ; all great covers for doing bad things. He could spin on a sixpence I bet!

TatianaBis · 25/08/2020 21:04

I have an irrational hatred of Sarah Vine. She is almost as witless and Jan Moir.

CherryPavlova · 25/08/2020 21:05

At six months, that will take us to the Brexit catastrophe and he won't want to be held accountable for that disaster. He will likely dip out and leave someone else to pick up his mess. There is only so much you can blame on a pandemic and only so many senior civil servants you can dump on before someone squeals.

netflixismysidehustle · 25/08/2020 21:06

He only cares about No Deal Brexit happening so I expected him to resign early next year.

midsomermurderess · 25/08/2020 21:06

Yes, as others have said, Gove and Cummings are thick as theives. Where Gove goes, there is Cummings.

WrongKindOfFace · 25/08/2020 21:08

@SabrinaThwaite

I suppose the only benefit to Gove is that Cummings (hopefully) wouldn’t be lurking in the background

Don’t bet on that. Cummings was Gove’s SpAd when he was busy fucking up education.

We’re fucked then.
nancy75 · 25/08/2020 21:09

Is this a scandal about a violin playing 28 year old or another one SentientAndCognisant ?
Like someone said above once the no deal goes through he can say he got Brexit done & then leave. The lazy sod won’t want to deal with the fall out of Brexit combined with the debt of Covid, he’ll step down & let someone else do the work

itsgettingweird · 25/08/2020 21:09

@SabrinaThwaite

Was coming to post the same thing.

In fact a few days a go I joked about my conspiracy theory being Dom getting BJ out to get him and Gove in again.

Especially as education is being thrown under the bus again. That's what raised my heckles.

netflixismysidehustle · 25/08/2020 21:11

I suppose the only benefit to Gove is that Cummings (hopefully) wouldn’t be lurking in the background. But then is pure Gove really a benefit? It’s like a choice between being kicked or punched.

I thought Gove introduced Cummings to Johnson and that Gove was an even bigger fan of Cummings?

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 25/08/2020 21:11

Gove has a limp, clammy handshake. Impeccable manners though. He puts the willies up me because of his scheming.

BigChocFrenzy · 25/08/2020 21:11

He could be set up for the fall guy to take the heat for Brexit and Covid economic costs

The Tory has a habit of dumping leaders when politically convenient
and also has been going through an internal party civil warfor years

atm, many Social Darwinists on the hard right are furious with him for not attempting herd immunity and sacrificing the vulnerable,
but instead calling lockdown, then all the billions to pay for furlough, then continuing SD, masks in shops etc and now looks like masks in schools soon
