Dh said he was.

Why is he not involved in the education fiasco?

@EveryDayIsADuvetDay

Camping you say?

A little joy, from the Lightning Protection Institute (no, I'd never heard of them either).
"Unfortunately, tent safety during a thunderstorm can be extremely challenging. If the tent stands higher than nearby objects or is under a tree, you could be at an increased risk of being struck by lightning or suffering exposure to sideflash or ground current—all which can be deadly."

We can only hope that happens. Grin

The silly shit probably thinks he's not at risk from that as he's had Covid.

bevelino · 18/08/2020 01:55

The government have Brexit to deliver and after the exams fiasco I am seriously doubting that the right decisions will be made.

IceCreamSummer20 · 18/08/2020 02:09

Only now @bevelino ? There is no management here of anything and never has been. Like a Trump they just like to campaign and give sound bites. They don’t actually do anything. I’ve read reports from other politicians saying that Boris would turn up to Brexit negotiations with no clue about the agenda, no clue what to say, basically no clue. He’s just a walking ‘get brexit done’ but has no capability or even bothered to read up on any of the real issues.

SabrinaThwaite · 18/08/2020 04:56

Scotland, you say? And we’ve just had the Glorious 12th? Could they be related?

Is Boris Johnson actually on holiday?
areyoubeingserviced · 18/08/2020 05:06

Lazy , incompetent idiot.
This is the government that Brexiteers think will deliver a successful Brexit. Absolute bull

ssd · 18/08/2020 09:11

Of course, he'll be holed up in some pal from Eton's shooting lodge, which will just a small 30 bedroom place...

If there's still anyone in Britain still defending this government I'd be even more depressed than I am.

Yes that's a funny coincidence isn't it

I used to work in a place that these ra ra rah arseholes liked to frequent when they came up to shoot some peasants

Swanning around like they owned the place, although to be fair, half of them probably did. Wankers.

Mumratheevergiving · 18/08/2020 09:49

inickedyourbiro well shooting pheasants is bad enough but I could quite believe some of the toffs would turn the gun on the peasants too Grin

Sophiafour · 18/08/2020 10:04

@inickedyourbiro - reminds me of a comment I heard the short time I spent working in Belfast: "We're not too keen on absentee landlords"....

@Emeraldshamrock well, he has to keep the DUP and their 3 remaining supporters sweet somehow...though I suspect that'll wear off the longer they have that 80+ majority in the Commons

@SabrinaThwaite - great idea for an ad campaign. Perhaps BJ could do for Famous Grouse, say, what the Trump Dynasty (pronounced "die-nasty") have done for that bean company....

@ssd - sadly, there are STILL millions of self-centred people who appear to think the government is doing a spiffing spaffing tophole job, wot wot, despite all the evidence to the contrary. In between quaffing their ginger beer (or something stronger) and essentially telling the rest of us we don't matter one bit. Quite apart from their tunnel vision version of a 1950s British idyll (well, English, really) that never existed in reality, I really do have to wonder what on earth would have to happen to them personally to make them wake up and smell the Earl Grey....

StoneFacedCrone · 18/08/2020 10:27

If he's on holiday, did our PM really have nothing to do with abolishing PHE? Isn't that ... a rather large issue ... for him to have had nothing to do with?

I would guess that Cummings to a decision on abolishing PHE didn't really need the PM's approval.
Heffalooomia · 18/08/2020 11:35

He really is 'Britain's trump' isn't he
☹️

ssd · 18/08/2020 11:45

@Sophiafour, I think dying off is the only way to get rid of them... That, or independence 🤞

itsgettingweird · 18/08/2020 11:50

I'm torn between thinking as PM he should be sorting out this shit show and thinking he's best off out of it to keep the level of shit to a minimum.

BoingBoingyBoing · 18/08/2020 11:52

Who gives a fuck where he is? It's not like he is anything more than a useful puppet for Cummings et al.

SecretSpAD · 18/08/2020 12:12

Oh, has Boris gone on holiday? I hadn't noticed.....

pandafunfactory · 18/08/2020 12:20

I heard he was seen at Edinburgh airport. At the same time a flight to France was leaving.....

Maybe that's why he added them to quarantine list - fancied another 2 weeks off!
Sophiafour · 18/08/2020 12:46

@ssd We're watching that independence thing very closely indeed - having always loved Scotland (well, apart from that weather and midge thing...I could always just buy a couple of beekeeper suits, though. The other half doesn't get bitten and just laughs at me).

Should independence happen, sorry, WHEN independence happens, moving to your side of the border would be one of our very serious options, if you'll have us. (We promise to be good and sensible and work for the good of the community, and we think we might have some useful skills between us!)

Imgladimnotyourchild · 18/08/2020 12:47

Think he deserves a holiday to be fair

What???!!!! What does he deserve a holiday from, exactly, because it's certainly not from work.
AuntMasha · 18/08/2020 13:04

To be frank, it’s probably for the best that this sh*tgibbon is strolling about the highlands being distracted by ptarmigan and capercaillie instead of doing what he usually does which is fxxxing the country up the arse and crapping on those in need.

Preferably you want the village idiot and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom to be two different people.

Oldbagface · 18/08/2020 13:23

There are rumours he's in rehab

Eve · 18/08/2020 13:28
