Dh said he was.

Why is he not involved in the education fiasco?

@inickedyourbiro

wherever he is I hope he gets eaten alive by the midgies and woken by a piper at 7am daily, before spending the day wondering if the 14degrees drizzle is going to stop

Prick

If you start a go find me to pay for a bagpipe player to follow him around for the duration of his holiday I will gladly contribute!
jessstan2 · 17/08/2020 23:27

Camping? With a little baby? What a carrie on.

midsomermurderess · 17/08/2020 23:39

That photo of Johnson and Petronella Wyatt in the Mail is hilarious. They look as if they have just come out from shagging in a bush.

InDeoEstMeaFiducia · 17/08/2020 23:41

That twat's entire life is a fucking holiday.

autumnboys · 17/08/2020 23:41

I told my 16yo they’re supposed to be camping & he snorted and asked if they were role playing being middle class.

Given his history, that might not be just a thought.
catsarecute · 17/08/2020 23:45

Gavin Williamson needs to go, and so does Boris Johnson. What an absolute shit show.

willstarttomorrow · 17/08/2020 23:51

I am still hoping our Eurocamp holiday in Tuscany will happen next week. I know I am stupid to travel in a pandemic etc. But as a public sector worker and a lone parent there is not a hope in hell I will be able to afford the ££££s it costs to spend a week in the UK in summer holidays like BJ.

I have worked throughout this shit storm, no PPE, expected to still visit vulnerable families which is fine by me as that is my job and every other support service has dropped away. No policy around child protection during covid but loads of increased responsibility and risk assessment for every visit/assessment session/ family contact. Must be lovely to take the summer off!

Choccylips · 18/08/2020 00:01

I think he is at a man nursery having his own nappy changed.

tobee · 18/08/2020 00:06

Hope you have a good holiday @willstarttomorrow Smile

milveycrohn · 18/08/2020 00:08

I can't stand Gavin Williamson. The liking him to Frank Spencer is spot on. He definitely comes across as a little more than a school boy himself.
However, 'credit' where it is due, I do not for one minute think he thought of this algorithm himself. This is the work of Ofqual, and I am glad we saw the chairman actually give a personal apology.
The question remains, are the DofE, Ofqual and various others deliberatley setting up Cabinet Ministers, or was this just a calamity?

A revolting thought but probably spot on 🤮
Chaotica · 18/08/2020 00:17

Johnson really is a lazy fucker and he does like his holidays. But I could quite believe the Cummings radiator scenario upthread.

Tavannach · 18/08/2020 00:22

On holiday or not on holiday - who can tell?

Grin
botchpotch · 18/08/2020 00:22

Unbelievable.

ithinkiveseenthisfilmbefore · 18/08/2020 00:24

hahahahahahahahahahahaha

He's hiding from the government's disastrous handling of ALevels/GCSEs/etc. HIS government's handling of it. Pretending it's nothing to do with him.

And enough fools on the right will pretend to believe it and keep voting for him and the tory party.

Tavannach · 18/08/2020 00:25

Course he's on holiday - there's a national crisis.

Williamson, Johnson and co have had since March to avoid this particular 'calamity'. It might help them make fewer cockups in education if they actually engage with the teaching profession.

Is everyone feeling confident that the return to school will run well based on how the Government have handled thisHmm

Emeraldshamrock · 18/08/2020 00:57

FudgeBrownie2019 your post is brilliant
Yes it was hilarious. I visualised the lot. 😂

Sophiafour · 18/08/2020 01:13

Well, let's be honest, he's not REALLY the one pulling the strings or actually in charge, is he, he's just the Face of the "government". (I'm trying really, really, really hard not to think of that Dr Who episode the Face of Bo. And I'm REALLY trying hard not to think about sex dungeons. It wouldn't surprise me either, sadly, though I suspect it isn't just sex rituals that go on there, it wouldn't surprise me if there's a fair amount of darker sacrifice involving chickens and the Dark of the Moon...) So in answer to the question, is BJ on holiday, how can you tell?! Shame they didn't actually close the Scottish border ahed of time though....

Sophiafour · 18/08/2020 01:14

I mean "ahead". Gah. Even Facebook has a flippin' edit post option.

PhilCornwall1 · 18/08/2020 01:19

You just knew he would be with the guaranteed shit show the exam results were going to be on the horizon.

I do hope the people saying how wonderful "Boris" was at the beginning of this pandemic, now see him for what he is. A fucking useless buffoon, with just as useless a cabinet behind him.

Johnson is a fucking liability and anything that comes out of that twats mouth, should be ignored.

Ofqual created the algorithm to do what the governmen asked them to do. Which was to keep the grades down. This shitshow is not their fault.

And they are left giving the apology because the people who should be givinging the apology all seem to have mysteriously disappeared.

Emeraldshamrock · 18/08/2020 01:26

He was in NI last week to organise next years celebration of the 6 counties centenary.
There will be uproar but that's for another thread.
You'd think he'd be busy sorting out the pandemic instead of a party to celebrate the centenary the terror Catholics endured for 100 years.
He is a buffoon.

Camping you say?

A little joy, from the Lightning Protection Institute (no, I'd never heard of them either).
"Unfortunately, tent safety during a thunderstorm can be extremely challenging. If the tent stands higher than nearby objects or is under a tree, you could be at an increased risk of being struck by lightning or suffering exposure to sideflash or ground current—all which can be deadly."
