Shitty partner - ruining sleepover?

'Dad' decides it would be funny to spray a shit scented spray all over sons sleeping bag and tent that he snd three friends are sleeping in tonight. They are 14. Have i lost a sense of humour or is this a shitty thing to do? Son and friends have not seen each other for six months snd just getting back into the swing of socialising ahead of starting back at school in two weeks.
Also his voice has broken recently and tonight his dad keeps saying he sounds 'gay'.
Am i super sensitive or is he just a complete prick?

Sorry but also the ‘helping us out’ thing pisses me off.

It’s supposed to be his flipping family. It’s like he’s ‘doing you a favour’ by helping you raise his son.

He is a total cock.

Leaving him will be the best thing you do for yourself. It’s better to be a single parent than one undermined by a dick head

Tell DH to stop pestering 14 yr old boys in the dark, spraying them with scent when they've gone to bed, in case someone gets the idea he's a gay paedophile using the sleepovers for grooming purposes.

bunsen · 16/08/2020 23:56

Thank you everyone- youve made me feel so much better about everything. I just need to work out wtf Im going to do. Yes as one poster said: this is the tip of the iceberg. He is shit in many ways

@mumofonedaughter Flowers to you.

GarlicMcAtackney · 17/08/2020 00:08

Never tolerate some shit male and force it to be in your child’s home, I’m repulsed by the woman who bred me and her shit choice of cock being inflicted on me. Damaged me for life. Obviously prioritise the child, who has no choice, your choice of male spraying shite into a child’s tent is the tip of the iceberg.

GarlicMcAtackney · 17/08/2020 00:10

(Agree that this sounds predatory. Will your choice of husband continue ur to prey on children? The parents of visiting children need to be aware of this.

GarlicMcAtackney · 17/08/2020 00:12

Ooh, is he just boyfriend? Dump him, there’s nothing binding you to him apart from rental/mortgage documents 🙌

dwiz8 · 17/08/2020 00:35

The gay comment isn't ok

But not going to lie I chuckled at the teens waking up to shit spray on their sleeping bags.

Byronsmummy · 17/08/2020 00:48

I'd spray it over him and see how much he laughs. Your son must despise him, poor kid. Kick him out now before he does any more damage to that boy and you.

@2bazookas I like your thinking 👍

mumofonedaughter · 17/08/2020 16:15

@mathanxiety thank you for your kind thoughts 💛

TorkTorkBam · 17/08/2020 16:20

Breaking up does not require both parties to agree the chucking is justified. You don't have to give a detailed list for approval. "I don't want to be in this relationship any more"

GabriellaMontez · 17/08/2020 16:21

Sorry, he sounds absolutely awful. Imagine leaving him. It would be wonderful to have a life without this man.

TorkTorkBam · 17/08/2020 16:22

Imagine how those other teen's parents will judge you when they hear the story of what you family is like. Yikes.

mumofonedaughter · 17/08/2020 16:26

@bunsen I’m so sorry that he doesn’t seem willing to see the effects of his behaviour. Best wishes and strength for the future 💛

ILoveFood87 · 17/08/2020 18:56

Oh your poor boy. Why would his dad treat him like that. Your son must be developing a thick skin to put up with that, or he's feeling like crap. Hope he's ok..... It's just cruel and you don't want him growing up thinking people can treat him that way or he can treat others the way his dad does.

This. The absolute base requirement for even a pretty piss poor parent. Growing up living in the same home as a bully (in this case a dad, in my case a brother) is such an unrelenting environment of being victimised and bullied it is almost unbearable.
