To ask - how many people have you had sex with?

I'm so intrigued to know what the average number is. I hope some of you won't mind responding.

I'll start. My number is 12

1 - met my husband when we were 18 and we are now 31

22 and counting..I’m 30.

1. Three of which were long-term relationships.

Those of you who have slept with lots do you just do it if you like the look of them or do you need an emotional connection?
I have never had sex with anyone I wasn't in love with and dated both of them for several months before I felt I knew them well enough to be that intimate with.
Is it different with someone you don't know well or is it always just mechanical? I'm not judging I'm genuinely interested.

This is so funny. Haven’t rtft but the idea of wanting and choosing to have sex with someone as mechanical rather than a chemical reaction speaks volumes

I'm 40 I'm now and widowed, we met when we where 19 and was together 20yrs

DH1. And DH2.
1 was with DH1 for 15 years. I slept with DH2 as a 20 year old. Didn’t work out. I met DH1 and we got married. Stayed with him for 15 years till be died suddenly. DH2 and I remained good friends but slowly lost touch. Then both our partners died, and we applied for jobs on the US East Coast. Then met up again aged 39. Fell in love. Married. Been married several years now.

Too many to mention. Life was good in the swinging sixties era.

I read that as 8.5 men and 3 women. I did wonder what constituted 1/2 a bloke-sex.

Maybe 80 or 90, at least half if not more of those women. I’m mid 40’s.

Honestly, if we were to break up I can't imagine sleeping with someone else. I'm sure I would eventually, but since we've "grown up" together in this area I can't really imagine it.

9 or 10 - mostly relationships of at least a few months+ and includes 2 LTRs (5tr+) and a 15yr marriage. If I had my time over again I’d do a lot more shagging, not necessarily with randoms off the internet, but certainly I’d have been up for a few FWB arrangements. I don’t need to be in love to DTD but I need to like and trust them and know they’re decent human beings.

3, actually do wish I’d had a bit more variety. I met DH at 19 though and we’ve been together ever since.

1st husband, a guy I dated briefly then 2nd husband.

More than 20, less than 30... around about there anyway. Depends what you’re classing as sex really tbh. If you’re counting heterosexual penetrative sex it would be less. But then if you count sexual experiences with women, it seems only fair to count sexual experiences with men that didn’t necessarily involve PIV. It all seems like a distant memory anyway really now!
