I'm so intrigued to know what the average number is. I hope some of you won't mind responding.

I'll start. My number is 12

More than 10 but less than 20?

More than 10, less than 20. Including two husbands, two girls, a few middling term relationships, a couple of FWB’s, and a few ONS’s. Most of them I regret, and really wish I’d waited. I think people who have only been with one partner, and still married and in love, are really lucky. (I’m 37, I’ve been single and celibate for the last six years.)

But now that I'm no longer with my ex, I plan to change that. Mid 50s, here.

Short but intense relationship with #1, same with #2 who is the father of my DS, then a bit of a drought til I met DH 27 years ago.

I tried to count a while ago and lost count at 30 (I'm sure it may be more than that). I wouldn't say I was particularly liberated. I think at various points I've had problems with alcohol and self esteem. I'm happy now and don't want to do it anymore. Also helps that I have a gorgeous boyfriend who keeps me satisfied.

I don't think it's weird. I have no wish to know. I dont even know my "number"! I haven't kept a tally!

We do know each others, but only because we met quite young and it didn't seem weird to discuss it then. If I was dating now, no, I don't think I'd want to know and don't think I'd want to tell especially. Unless it was something really remarkable, like Nick Clegg or Mick Hucknall. Weren't they on 1000 or something? Or maybe that was just Mick Hucknall and Nick Clegg was 100... Sorry, not really the point, but I'm curious now!

1 - met my husband at 16. Am now 36, married 20 years soon.

I'm always quite mortified by mine. I desperately wish it was lower but I really did have a time of it in my teens. I've never kept count but it's got to be around the 75 ish number.

Horrible if I try to think too much about it. Countless ONS's that while I don't regret, I just wish I'd had a bit more sense about me when I was younger.

I definitely do not wonder at all - very happy with my number. My only regret is the one fit guy I didn't sleep with when I should have done!!!

Between fifty and sixty, much of it forgettable. Many drunken ons

Happily married now though - together for six years.

He knows mine, but then he is number two, even if I hadn’t told him it wouldn’t have been difficult to work it out.

I don’t know his, but neither does he 😂 as it would be a fairly high number.

I don’t think its weird, whether you know or not it doesn’t have any impact on a relationship, so knowing either way isn’t odd.
