To ask - how many people have you had sex with?

I'm so intrigued to know what the average number is. I hope some of you won't mind responding.

I'll start. My number is 12

I've really no idea. Over 10 but under 40.

My 20's are a haze.

I'm 33 and only slept with DH. I was a bit of a prude and easily embarrassed. Did other stuff with guys. I don't think I've missed out, I'm happy. If I ever split from DH then I'll just enjoy meeting new people but I am not stressed that he will probably be the only one. He's slept with a couple of women before me but it doesn't bother me. I enjoy sex, or did when not heavily pregnant

I had messed up teen years so I will make a cautious guess at 60 and I am 31.

Between 10-15. The same partner since I was 18. I was very promiscuous between 15-18 although I regret nothing!
Well, actually I do regret one of them but that’s because I read a few years ago that he had been sent to prison for an absolutely abhorrent crime 😱

1. Met DP at 19 so all before that.

1. One was a quick holiday fling.

I've been with DH for 33 years now, and tbh I'm pretty much asexual.

Those of you who have slept with lots do you just do it if you like the look of them or do you need an emotional connection? I have never had sex with anyone I wasn't in love with and dated both of them for several months before I felt I knew them well enough to be that intimate with. Is it different with someone you don't know well or is it always just mechanical? I'm not judging I'm genuinely interested.

Felt like it, so did it ... having sex isn't always about the emotional connections sometimes it's just about the sex

Don't know why but I feel weird saying the actual number. But I'm in the single figures (just). I have a question for those who's number is 1 and you're married/In a LTR - do you worry that one day you'll regret not having a higher number?

1, and no. I never had the urge before I met my now dh and used to worry I was strange, and was surprised to find how much I had the urge when with him

Our sex life is varied and enjoyable enough that I don't think I've missed out on anything. Dh on the other hand was a total tart in his 20's 😂

I'm 40 and my number is 3.
Would have liked it to be 6ish

Most of them, I just felt like shagging them. No big emotion, they were hot and found me attractive, too, so we had sex, sometimes more than once. No regrets.

I’m 40 now, lost my virginity at 17 and been with DH for 9 years.

Three were all around a year/two year relationships
One is my DH of 13 years
One was a friend with benefits who I drifted back and forth with between relationships until I met DH
One was a friend who I had a few drunken nights with
Two were one night stands on a girls holiday
One I really liked and we dated briefly but he was a total player and messed with my head when I was having a bad time

13, I'm 35. Pretty happy with that.

I don't want to put a number on here but it's seems to be a normal enough figure. I lost my virginity at 18 nearly 19 having been very much a person who believed in waiting for marriage. Then I felt I was missing out as I started uni. Most of uni I was just snogging and having fun but no more sex until my final year. Then I just went a bit mad. This carried on. I had a serious relationship that was on and off all though my 20s and married at 32. In between I had a lot of fun. 😂 no regrets at all.

I don’t know. More than 50 less than a hundred.

I’m 34 and have been married twice for 9 years in total so they were all squeezed in in relatively small time frames at times where I wasn’t in a relationship.
