I'm so intrigued to know what the average number is. I hope some of you won't mind responding.

I'll start. My number is 12

OP posts:
IHaveBrilloHair · 14/08/2020 22:43

Around 150.

alibongo5 · 14/08/2020 22:43

I think about 15 - but I'm hazy because it's only 1 in the last 40 years or so! I had a wild couple of years in my late teens though!

loutypips · 14/08/2020 22:43

Going by this thread, not enough!

PurBal · 14/08/2020 22:44

Couldn't count. Married now so fairly irrelevant.

BraveGoldie · 14/08/2020 22:45

3 men, 1 woman.

Change17 · 14/08/2020 22:45

28 and 4.
I think this is a lot to do with the fact that I only really came to terms with my sexuality when I was around 24. I had tried to convince myself for years that I was bisexual (seemed like an easier pill to swallow), despite not being sexually affected to men at all 😅 so I slept with a guy once at 17. And then didnt have sex again at all until I was 24 and she ended up being my girlfriend of 2 years. Had a ONS, and then the next woman I slept with I am now in a relationship with

I think if I’d been more comfortable and confident in my sexuality I’d have had a lot more sex in my uni days. Kinda think I missed out a bit there in really exploring myself sexually

SixesAndEights · 14/08/2020 22:45

12-14 I think. Mostly ONSs

Sarahlou63 · 14/08/2020 22:45

About 250, I think.

RogueV · 14/08/2020 22:45

Around 20

tiredanddangerous · 14/08/2020 22:45
  1. I've been with DH since I was 21 so didn't have much time Grin
MrsSchadenfreude · 14/08/2020 22:45

@FaithinWashing I don’t think of sex as “making love.” I see it as an itch to scratch. I haven’t found that being in love with the person makes it better. Some of the best sex I’ve had was just sex, not a relationship.

MiddleClassProblem · 14/08/2020 22:46

@FaithinWashing

Those of you who have slept with lots do you just do it if you like the look of them or do you need an emotional connection? I have never had sex with anyone I wasn't in love with and dated both of them for several months before I felt I knew them well enough to be that intimate with. Is it different with someone you don't know well or is it always just mechanical? I'm not judging I'm genuinely interested.
Mechanical? No. Just lustful, sometimes regretful but mostly the former for me. Like sex, fit bloke. Although not many one night stands, a few FWBs and flings. Some relationships are just more about that than emotions 😬😅
RiteAid · 14/08/2020 22:46

@Brokenchair1 🤣

Stannisbaratheonsboxofmatches · 14/08/2020 22:47

I could add a couple more if we’re including all but piv

SixesAndEights · 14/08/2020 22:47

I just liked shagging.

AriesTheRam · 14/08/2020 22:48

Around 30

RiteAid · 14/08/2020 22:48

I think it should definitely count if it was ‘everything but PIV’. Defining sex purely as PIV is so heteronormative and not really reflective of lots of people’s experiences.

ImFree2doasiwant · 14/08/2020 22:50

About 60 I think. I'm 42. A lot of those were before I was 20.

YouJustDoYou · 14/08/2020 22:50
  1. I envy women who enjoy sex.
Bumply · 14/08/2020 22:50

1
Met at Uni, split up at 40. Now in my 50s.

MondeoFan · 14/08/2020 22:51

About 15 which is a lot considering I was with 1 partner for 26 years

Twiningalldaylong · 14/08/2020 22:52

10 I think. Certainly 6 of those that meant something.

WitchesNStuff · 14/08/2020 22:52

maybe 60/70. I think sex is great if you just fancy someone, doesnt need to be deep feelings. Personally I don't find it worse than when in a serious relationship. Different perhaps but definitely not worse in my experience.

Mistymonday · 14/08/2020 22:53

13-15 i think

Silversun83 · 14/08/2020 22:53

@Badtasteflump

Don't know why but I feel weird saying the actual number. But I'm in the single figures (just). I have a question for those who's number is 1 and you're married/In a LTR - do you worry that one day you'll regret not having a higher number?
1 and yes.
