To ask - how many people have you had sex with?

I'm so intrigued to know what the average number is. I hope some of you won't mind responding.

I'll start. My number is 12

26 (I'm in my late 40s and didn't meet DH til I was 37).

I met my dh at school, fell in love and that was it so 1. Sometimes I think its nice, romantic and we don't have to deal with awkward ex's or jealousy but I think there is part of us both that does wonder what it might have been like to have had more partners. I am still happy with him, love him and dont want to change where my life ended up but I do wish I'd grown up a bit more before we got together so I could really have had some proper time on my own.

2. I envy women who enjoy sex.

a best friend of mine is similar to you. She’s almost 30 and only had 3 times. She’s sure she’s straight, so it’s not that she’s not attracted to men. But she just doesn’t enjoy it. She thinks she might be asexual but isn’t sure because she gets aroused etc but actually has no desire to have sex.

43 and I’m 40. Married 15 years to husband. I was wild until 23. Some hideous. Some great. I wouldn’t change my life.

@FaithInWashing when I was young (16 - 25 ish) I was very reserved & I had 1 or 2 long relationships. When I escaped from them I had a few years of just wanting to have fun and go out every weekend clubbing. TBH in those years if I fancied someone and clicked with them, I was happy to have a ONS. That stopped when a ONS turned into somebody I couldn't get out of my head - and thankfully he felt the same way, so now 20 years on, he's my DH.

about 7 I think. Just DH for the last 32 years though!

42. I'm 30.

Similar to imfree, all bar 2 of those were before I met XH when I was 20. Only other partner since then is DH. I am now 40.

1. Got together with my husband when I was 15, married at 23, been married 3 years. We did break up briefly (6 months ish) when we were 18 and he slept with 2 people in that time so his number is 3.

9 but I'm not built for one night stands, I can't really lose myself in it if I don't have high trust in the partner. Not sure if that's who I am or a result of life experiences growing up. 🤔 Have enjoyed it though. 😁

Low to mid thirties, I think. Lost count a while ago...

7... First 2 were long relationships and then the other 5 were all in the same year xD

35-40? Can’t remember exactly but it’s not more than 40. I did keep track at one point. I’m early 30s but I’ve been with DH since 24 and he’s the only one since then, so I packed a fair few into a relatively short time. I can’t remember most of them but my memory’s pretty pants all round! I don’t regret anything, it seemed right at the time.

Don't know why but I feel weird saying the actual number. But I'm in the single figures (just). I have a question for those who's number is 1 and you're married/In a LTR - do you worry that one day you'll regret not having a higher number?

Not really, we've been together almost 8 years now and he's a fantastic husband and father, he works hard, he is caring, and I laugh till I cry every day. I think for me, those things outweigh my desire to boost my number

God knows. Anything between 25-40. Never felt the need to count. And don’t feel the need to explain the back-story to my number either (my mind boggles as other posters who seem apologetic about too many/too few).

Ps: forgot to include the women: 2 women also.
