Lazy garlic and chilli in a pan add prawn and cooked pasta, squeeze of lemon. Job done !

Fried gnocchi - try it, it's amazing - just fry it for 4 mins.
Omelette
Fried egg, beans & veggie sausages
Tortilla base pizza - easy peasy
Also pitta bread based pizzas - also easy peasy
Pitta breads toasted then filled with feta, tomato, salad & olives
Vegetarian'meat'balls, jar sauce or quick homemade with passata, onion, garlic, basil & linguine
Wraps filled with tuna or mozzarella and Veggies in the George Foreman grill
Panini rolls done as above

savagebaggagemaster · 25/07/2020 10:59

Oooh forgot veggie stir fry with packet sauce, noodles and a spring roll on top!

Jinglebellissimo · 25/07/2020 11:06

Tortilla “pizza” just check some tomato paste or red pesto on top of a tortilla with some cheese over the top

Controversial but we also do frankfurter last. Chop up frankfurters, cook pasta and then use a stir in sauce. Not very good for you but strangely addictive

OverTheRainbow88 · 25/07/2020 11:09

Scrambled eggs
Pizza
Pasta and jarred pesto
Last night was home alone so had 2 slices of bread with marmite
Stir fry- shop chopped
Ready made lasagne/curry

Graphista · 25/07/2020 11:37

I discovered a new favourite along these lines the other night:

Instant mash, quorn chilled sliced fillets and instant gravy!

Made up the mash, added fillets to jug, made gravy in a mug and added to jug and mixed - sounds gross, was yummy and filling and took maybe 4 minutes? I debated adding some Tinned corn as a nod to health but couldn't find it (I definitely have some in just couldn't bloody find!)

Long term favourites:

Fresh pasta & pesto

Fresh pasta & butter and some herbs or few twists of my trusty garlic grinder which I use on loads of things!

Fresh pasta with cream cheese "loosened" with a little milk to make a cheese sauce, best with garlic and herb flavour cheese or use trusty grinder again

Are you sensing a theme? Fresh pasta is so quick and easy!

Cous cous with just butter or olive oil and garlic grinder and a few chopped up or even lazier ready chopped veggies or even pickles

Poshed up beans on toast - variety of posh ups include marmite, grated cheddar, pesto, sliced gherkins, pickled garlic, pickled peppers

Omelette

Baked eggs, chips and beans - takes the longest of the lot but all done in the oven - yes even the beans - so the only effort required by me is putting it in the oven and serving:

Eggs - ideally in a ramekin but I don't have any so I just use foil tray or small pie dish covered with a lid made from ordinary foil, eggs need to be pierced really, ditto the beans.

Chips on same tray around the dishes I'm cooking eggs and beans in and that's plenty for just me

Musmerian · 25/07/2020 11:40

Spaghetti with olive oil, pecorino, lemon and flat leaf parsley. Tasty and no effort at all. Cook spaghetti, drain, add good olive oil, black pepper, chopped fresh parsley and lemon. Grate pecorino and eat.

FraughtwithGin · 25/07/2020 11:44

Buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, nicely sliced/chopped and arranged on a plate, pinch of Maldon Smoked Salt, grinding of fresh , black pepper, teaspoon of good olive oil drizzled over. Delicious.

40somethingJBJ · 25/07/2020 11:47

Microwaved jacked spud with cheese and onion sandwich filling on it. Or pasta with the tuna mayo sweet corn sandwich filling.

dudsville · 25/07/2020 11:47

You won't like this OP as it has a lot of flavour, but I love no cook meals that are tasty and filling and not too unhealthy. One of my favourites is "what's in the fridge salad".

I just bunged a large tablespoon of cottage cheese, a beetroot, some random olives, sauerkraut, into a bowl with some balsamic vinegar, a tin of tuna and half a time of mixed pulses. Mmm.

Fifthtimelucky · 25/07/2020 11:48

Depends on how many people I'm cooking for. If it's just me it's likely to be:

Soup (homemade if I happen to have some leftover, but otherwise Heinz tomato with grated cheese a few halves of cherry tomatoes, and parsley thrown in at the end)
Eggs on toast (either scrambled or poached)
Tuna mayonnaise on toast
Baked potato with butter and grated cheese (and sometimes tuna or a poached egg)
Soup

If someone else is involved it will be:
Pasta with butter and grated cheese
Pasta with jar of pesto (and cheese)
Pizza from freezer

OhTheRoses · 25/07/2020 11:50

Frozen pizza - ready made salad bowl

Pasta, stir in Boursin and creme fraiche with a slosh of white wine - ready made salad bowl.

Finest lasagne x 2, decent trimming where necessary into a square China dish. Add a couole of rows of sliced plum tomatoes - chopped mozzarella and cheddar. Whizz in oven for 40 minutes. Bagged lettuce, cherry toms, black olives, cucumber, red onion, bottled balsamic.

Arthersleep · 25/07/2020 11:50

Ok, so this doesn't sound very lazy, but it's very quick to make and cook. Sachet of miso soup, dried noodles, then a handful of chopped veg (peppers/broccoli or corgette (something that cooks quickly and doesn't need peeling) and finally either some smoked tofu chopped up and or a poached egg. I cook the whole lot in one pan all at the same time. Takes 2-3 mins to prepare and 4 mins to cook.

Arthersleep · 25/07/2020 11:52

Another quick one is 'pizza eggs'. Scrambled eggs with some tinned tomatoes, dried herbs and cheese chucked in. Kids love it. Looks revolting, tastes lovely and is somewhat balanced.

Arthersleep · 25/07/2020 11:55

Oh yes, and mini calzones. Cup a pita bread in half and put in the toaster on low heat. Microwave a few spoonfuls of tinned tomatoes, herbs, cheese, ham, olives or whatever in a bowl until the cheese melts. Then spoon it into the pitabreads.

Lemonyfuckit · 25/07/2020 11:56

Super easy and quick but also both quite a treat meal and delicious:

Spaghetti carbonara: literally takes the time to cook the pasta
Whilst the spaghetti is cooking, (1) fry cubed pancetta (the ready cubed stuff) with a few squashed cloves of garlic in olive oil (remove the cloves afterwards); (2) mix 2 eggs plus 1 egg yolk with grated Parmesan (again, the ready grated for the laziness factor) and black pepper.
Once spagetti is cooked drain (reserve a little of the salted cooking water), toss in the pancetta and olive oil, mix in the egg and Parmesan, add a little of the cooking water if it needs loosening. Done.

Or, steak and green salad.
Fry steak (I like mine v rare so this doesn't take very long at all!). Whilst steak cooking add some green salad to plate, and maybe avocado, dress and season. Add steak. Maybe deglaze the pan with a little red wine if there's some open and drizzle over. Maybe add some béarnaise sauce on the side if there's some in the fridge. Takes less than 10 minutes.

cornishacid · 25/07/2020 11:59

broccoli pasta

boil pasta, lob in broccoli at the last minute. Drain when cooked

Chop up a tomato, mix it in, slice some cheese on top and ping it

yum!

Lemonyfuckit · 25/07/2020 12:00

Sorry I missed the post where you said you were pregnant, I'm guessing both of my meals involving not fully cooked eggs / v rare steak probably aren't the best at the moment!

FrancesFlute · 25/07/2020 12:01

@SickofNorthernExile, this is my meal too! Discovered it when I was about 10 years old when my parents encouraged me to start cooking. Only eat it very occasionally now when on my own as DH incredulously claims it's 'weird' and 'not a meal'. I like mine with plain pasta on the side and cheddar or wensleydale. Actually had it last night as was having a crappy evening Smile

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 25/07/2020 12:02

Jan on toast and a cup of tea.
