Amy desperately needs a donor within the next week or so. Are you eligible?

There are four main donor registries.You only need to register to oneas the information from all registers is collated when looking for a match.

I've registered. I assumed I wasn't eligible based on Anthony Nolan's age restriction so I'm pleased to see that DKMS will accept me.

Can't register at the moment as I'm still breastfeeding but I've set a reminder to check back in a few months to see if I can register then. I didn't realise it was so simple to register, going to badger DH into it in the morning as well.

Does anyone know if you can donate if you have osteo and rheumatoid arthritis and are on drugs for it? Not immunosupressant drugs,just strong painkillers.

Females who have given birth can't register? What,ever? Well that instantly eliminates 50% of the population!

@agentnully you would not be able to donate if you are anaemic. You could take iron supplements and then have HB checked a few months later to assess if any improvement.

Sorry I am too old now. I hope Amy finds someone. We had a friend and his donor pulled out about two days before. We don’t know why. His dad was going to donate but they discovered he had a serious health problem. Our friend died last year. His dad died this year just days before his sons anniversary. He was such a lovely lad. The happiest person I have met.

I m on the DKMS register already. Easy to do and I encourage everyone to do it.

I'm already on there, yet they are rude when I contact and I've never been needed so might leave soon and help elsewhere
