I was just about to post how funny I thought it all was and loved the comments when it told it was full and I couldn't add any comments - gutted so thought I would say "thought I found that post really strange and really funny!!!"
Can't even remember when I joined but never posted that often until recently (and still not a lot - just to ask advice) so maybe I am a newbie to but I think everyone on here is great, supportive and of their own opionion. I have had great comments form loads of you and as my mum lives 300 miles away from me and my mil lives about 160 I have no one to ask (to a degree).
PS I am not a middle class bore, I am like most, I work part time (start at 5.30am) then look after our dd all day and then sometimes go back to work. Needs must but I love both my jobs (one as a mother and one as an employee).
That's all - sorry to bore you all!

PS I think talulasmummy has some issues .. ?

who's talulasmummy?

Popcorn anyone?

LowFat · 25/09/2007 15:53

Ahh good another bore thread!

I hate my job, but as you say needs must. Would love to be SAHM, but dont want DH slogging his guts out just for me to do that, as I enjoy our time together in the evening.

Having said that he's at badminiton tonight so I am going to watch Lord of the Rings for the first time in months!

Whether to watch them in sequence or 2 and 3 first for the eye candy - ho hum

StealthPolarBear · 25/09/2007 15:57

oh what a boring thread!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 25/09/2007 16:01

Twiglett · 25/09/2007 16:02

I'd be a middle class whore but I don't have sex any more seeing as how I'm married with kids

Tups · 25/09/2007 16:02

it would take hours!

OP posts:
Tups · 25/09/2007 16:03

Search for "to think mumsnet is full of middleclass bores" and the thread should come up - read the first post and go from there ...

someone called talulasmum started a thread saying mn was full of middle class bores, and how she thought the threads were dull. The tone was insulting and antagonistic.

Not surprisingly people piled in saying
a) you're talking rubbish
b) if you don't like it, start a constructive thread or leave

There was a lot of self-mockery about being called 'middle class'

Then people were accused of being bullies

Then talulasmum kept coming back with more sweeping generalisations and insults about mn.

People got pissed off and there was a lot of pisstaking about how ridiculous she was being.

Then it veered off into poetry!?!

my dh works all the hours god sends for little money and i am a 20yo SAHM with a 3yo dd and 1 yo ds?!?!

can you tell im bored?

Twiglett · 25/09/2007 16:17

it looked like one of those threads that if you're not in it at the start didn't seem worth joining

but I've been dying to do the 'middle class whore' line every time I saw the title

so thank you tups for the opportunity to be predictable

lucyellensmum · 25/09/2007 16:18

it was a very enjoyable thread, can't believe it kicked off so, i reckon the only issues talulasmummy had was boredom and was just stirring the mix, it worked lol

Lorayn · 25/09/2007 16:21

She was crackers, she told us all she 'probably needed more help then us all put together so I advised her time and time again to post a thread about what she needed advice with and just stop posting on the other one, saying people would forget about it etc, then she said middle class people had no worries so I told her to check out some of the bereavement/miscarriage/conception threads and she jumped down my throat saying I had said she couldnt feel less than happy sometimes and had had a miscarriage.
IMHO crazy.
Oh and she said silly things like 'sat talula in front of tv with pot noodle' and wondered why we took the piss............

sugarmatches · 25/09/2007 16:25

Not to start any trouble, but there is one thread on here right now that is really middle class and really boring.
I don't want to hurt feelings, but I did have a serious giggle while ready it!

StealthPolarBear · 25/09/2007 16:27
