What can women do that men cannot do? (Reproductive features aside)

Happy Father’s Day to all celebrating! June for me is Fathers month as my dad passed away in June so truly I think of Fathers and Men a lot this month.

I would like some ideas around the question - What can women do that men cannot do? -

Am I being unreasonable to think that aside reproduction (potential to carry babies, features that come with this) there’s nothing.

If anyone can help with a different view, I’d be grateful.

Thanks

Change a quilt cover

My dad was brilliant at that. Could even do it whilst balanced on the ladder of my bunk bed

I'm useless at changing quilt covers and stacking dishwashers. I haven't the faintest idea how to empty the vacuum cleaner.

Historically, I think women may have the edge in being burned for witchcraft.

Men are much better at growing attractive facial hair. Never mind penis envy, I'm jealous about the ability to grow sideburns and a badass moustache.

I was recently surprised to discover that men where burnt as witches, not only that the percentage was surprisingly high! (Overwhelming, it was women mind you.)

I realised it's risky to say this but women can't have a Y chromosome.

Men are able to become incredibly strong.
Woman are unable to match it due to biological differences. Well... They can, with the help of medial science.

It's because they are generally heavy, muscular and cumbersome. The balance beam is a graceful sport.

Many women gymnasts slip off the balance beam and are able to go on to have children.

I was thinking of how their reproductive organ is on the outside and going to take a massive hit.

Not that it's that pleasant as a woman!

Weird idea for a thread celebrating men/dad's. How about a fond memories of your lovely dad or something?

ShinyFootball · 21/06/2020 19:55

My dad had multiple affairs starting when my mum was pregnant with me. He is completely self centred.

Despite 3 years not speaking to him, we get on ok and are quite fond of each other I think.
My mum OTOH has never liked me.

DH got good stuff from the girls today though and his family is normal which is weird to me Grin but great.

I can't speak for all men but my husband cant sit on the floor with his legs crossed and I can 😀

It is a thread with a question.

What can women do that men cannot do?

Do you have an answer?

@NeedToKnow101

I don't really understand the correlation between celebrating Father's Day, and asking what women can do that men can't?

Surely you should be asking what men can do that women can't?

You don't have to understand it

Do you have an answer to the question,

What can women do that men cannot do?

Effectively lead a nation through a pandemic?

Kimsha · 28/06/2020 12:33

Thanks for answers all!

52% of people believe I am not being unreasonable to think that there's nothing women are doing (good or bad) that men are not capable of.

The 48% are not able to provide an answer so far as to why that is not the case, this was the main reason for the post. I wanted to see if there were areas I wasn't thinking about. So far, it's mainly steretotype based answers.

Thinking of this further, the implications for this if the 52% are correct is

  1. Biological differences are a big deal and they really do shape our lives.
  1. Women need to stop making excuses for men like on this thread for the things they cannot do especially around the home. Human beings are not ants, we have the ability to learn and become skilled at many things. E.g When my husband says he cannot do a thing (I know its not because he is a man) - I encourage him to learn, go on youtube, the internet is filled with lots of resources.
So instead of resentment, we all can help each other and celebrate the good.
