She's tweeted (spelling.typos are hers):

I am NOT having a go at teachers, but how can we argue against schools going back when we’ve never even asked if teachers could infect kids with measles, mumps, meningitis etc.? Covid is NOT a denger to kids and is far less of a denger to teachers than many believe.

and yet this is her bio:

"All we can do at the moment is be kind, compassionate & sensible. When we can’t hug we shouldn’t judge."

Doesn’t she realise that the standard childhood Immunisation program includes vaccines against measles, mumps and 2 strains of meningitis?

WhatsTheFrequencyKennneth · 18/06/2020 18:00

Oh dear, thats embarrassing

SaladSeason · 18/06/2020 18:09

Clearly her PR wrote her bio

DobbyTheHouseElk · 18/06/2020 18:10

Denger? Did she actually write that?

SchrodingersImmigrant · 18/06/2020 18:12

Are you sure that's not a parody account?

DoesJeffKnow · 18/06/2020 18:13

I'm not agreeing with Kirstie, but is she referring to that period we went through about a decade ago when lots of (foolish in my view) parents refused to give their kids the MMR vaccine in case it "gave them autism"?

If so, then maybe she's right to point out that at no time were those unvaccinated children's education stopped.

Is she starting the discussion as to whether we should allow unvaccinated children to go to school?

Do they pose a threat to the staff? And/or do unvaccinated teachers/support staff pose a viral threat to kids?

I'd be quite interested to read some research on this if anyone knows of some.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 18/06/2020 18:14

Oh gosh. It isn't!

GuyFawkesDay · 18/06/2020 18:14

I used to quote like her but she refuses to.listen to anyone who doesn't share her views.

Gone right off her.

ohthegoats · 18/06/2020 18:20

Does she follow-up tweet all the links to the evidence that it's not as dangerous to teachers as some believe? Does she think we're more invincible than other adults?

peppapigisscottish · 18/06/2020 18:20

Screen shot. It isn't a parody account.

Well, she's right. It's not a denger to anyone.
It is a bloody danger, though. What a bumptious ass she is.

Nanalisa60 · 18/06/2020 18:27

Just read that Northern Ireland Are reducing the social distance down to one meter for schools, think the rest of the county will follow them ready for the Autumn term.

MuthaClucker · 18/06/2020 18:28

Denger denger. High voltage.

MashedPotatoBrainz · 18/06/2020 18:28

Isn't she another toff who needed to check their eyesight by driving their infected family around the country? Another one who should have been prosecuted.

LemonsLive · 18/06/2020 18:30

Anyone who spends their time reading Kirsty Allsop's tweets has got way too much time on their hands. Why are you reading what she says OP, or taking any notice?

Cheap shot too, OP. Lots of MN "massif" will pile in with sarcastic personal attacks on Allsop, so predictable as we can see by posts above.

Justmuddlingalong · 18/06/2020 18:31

She should stick to commenting on things she has knowledge of...like pom-poms.

supersop60 · 18/06/2020 18:35

Lynda07 · 18/06/2020 18:35

It's just her opinion. I've read exactly the same opinion on here many times.

SockYarn · 18/06/2020 18:36

There are lots of people who believe that children should be back to school in the new term, full time. Without social distancing for children, but for adults only. She is not alone in her belief.

She's also right that a lot of the evidence points to children being far less likely to pass it on to others.

And she's dyslexic, for those jumping on her spelling. Hmm

peppapigisscottish · 18/06/2020 18:36

I don't follow her but I wondered why she was trending, mea culpa PP.

I love that the first reply is

'Christ, give it a rest Kirsty' 😂

user1494055864 · 18/06/2020 18:39

I can't stand that bloody woman. She should stick to the day job. Suggest knocking down walls in every house she goes in, and flirting with Phil.
