AIBU - to think that the protestor was very lucky not to be hurt when they jump in front of a convoy carrying the PM.

Good job it wasn't Cummings driving testing his fucking wanky eyes.

LastTrainEast · 17/06/2020 15:30

#karma says the tweet, but karma would be if the car hadn't stopped. A darwin award for the protestor.

FourTeaFallOut · 17/06/2020 15:34

Fucking muppet. I'm glad the guy on the bike seems ok.

chomalungma · 17/06/2020 15:34

It's interesting to see the reactions. The car sped off reasonably quickly.

I wonder what the gap is supposed to be between such vehicles in a convoy in case of terrorist attack?

KingJarvisofPulp · 17/06/2020 15:41

The protester is a twat and deserves everything he gets

FourTeaFallOut · 17/06/2020 15:42

I expect his security detail need to be pretty close given their role goes beyond just witnessing a terrorist attack in their wing mirror.

FlaskMaster · 17/06/2020 15:44

Hahaha this was my first thought too.

mrsBtheparker · 17/06/2020 15:44

Exactly, the car should not have swerved or braked.

FourTeaFallOut · 17/06/2020 15:45

Sorry, my first post was vague. For the avoidance of doubt, I think the protester was a fucking muppet.

ShebaShimmyShake · 17/06/2020 15:45

Looks like someone pulled the protestor out of the way?

chomalungma · 17/06/2020 15:46

I think it was the motorbike that braked and the car braked to stop hitting the motorbike.

Who cares? Nobody was hurt. People are stupid every day - makes no difference.

chomalungma · 17/06/2020 15:48

Lucky not to have been shot dead.

TheEmpressMatilda · 17/06/2020 15:48

What the actual fuck is wrong with someone that they feel comfortable advocating intentionally running over protestors in a car?

FourTeaFallOut · 17/06/2020 15:48

He wasn't just strolling across the road without looking both ways, he bloody threw himself in to traffic. It wasn't an act of stupidity, or at least not stupidity alone.

OneForMeToo · 17/06/2020 15:50

What fucking muppet jumps out in front of cars especially the pm’s convoy. His lucky his alive common sense however clearly lacking.

I am known for being reasonably anti-Johnson in my views - but he is still PM, we live in a world of terrorist threats and if someone decides to throw themselves in front of a convoy in such times, then they have to suffer the consequences of being a potential threat.

And yet Emily Davison is a hero ...

ThePants999 · 17/06/2020 15:54

"Boris Johnson involved in car crash" is something that happens weekly, it just happens to be literal this time.

FourTeaFallOut · 17/06/2020 15:55

At least she got under the right horse, he endangered some poor guy just doing his job.

He'd be nothing more than a speed bump for Johnson.

Funny old world, isn't it...

Boom! Grin

JacobReesMogadishu · 17/06/2020 15:57

What were the crowd chanting afterwards? Something like “mark his face”? Doesn’t make sense so guessing it isn’t that?

I feel sorry for the police having to work constantly with people shouting like that, I’d have an awful headache.

Pussycatinboots · 17/06/2020 15:58

Sorry @SerendipityJane, I cross-posted with you.

GimmeAy · 17/06/2020 15:58

Jeez - wouldn't you think they'd be better trained than that - PM rear ends the police in front, and then car behind rear-ends the PM. Weren't they watching where they were going?
