FAKE NEWS! YEAR 10 & 12 ARE NOT BACK AT SCHOOL

I am listening to the news today and there is much talk about the year 10's and years 12's being back at school. No they are not. My Yr 12 son has 3 hours scheduled between now and the end of term.....not 3 hours/day, not 3 hours/week.....3 hours till mid July!

Is it just our school?

At our English state comprehensive all teaching for Y10 and Y12 between remains online apart from for those who don't have adequate IT at home who will be invited into school. Each GCSE subject will have one live lesson a week on MS Teams, plus set work (this is an vast improvement in terms of contact time).
Only practical subjects eg art, drama will have any actual "in person" contact - one or two 60 min sessions over the last month of term.
There has been no explanation why it's been arranged this way, except that a lot of the pupil travel a fair distance on public transport to get there, so perhaps uptake for actually coming in was low?

My y10 has nothing. No face to face offered from school.
