Lockdown is ending and we are off to the shops!!!!!! :)))))))))

Yes we can book hair appointments, nail appointments and banish the roots in a matter of weeks. We can shop today!! We are counting down the days to hotels, restaurants and bars opening. We are breaking out.

We have turned a corner in England people!!

The lockdown is ending at long last - so what are you doing today?

Can someone please tell the BBC to stop reporting on all the shopping!!

It is outrageous, some stores were even playing music. Some people were even seen 'buying things' that were non essential like pants and socks. How dare they! Its not a bloody holiday you know.

Hearhooves has told everyone since day one of lockdown that we are causing a second peak by even opening our front doors
To date her data is significantly more inaccurate than the scientific data posted up thread
I.e a pile of hysterical made up bollocks

*popped to Tesco, but decided to go to Home Bargains first so pottered there. Walked past Next and went in for some jeans on a whim. Then to Tesco. Finally for my first McDonalds in months, it was bloody lovely.

Going to Primark tomorrow and taking DD1 (12 YO) as she will enjoy it. Plus she has a bit of money to spend (as do I). Probably will pop into a couple of other shops too.*

@RunningNinja79 I think that lot makes you akin to a mad axe murderer get me a Big Mac meal whilst you're there please!

Review is this week, I suspect an extension as Scotland and Wales have extended, and the shielding need the protection as are being pestered about going back to work already when it's still not the end of June yet

@Hobnobswantshernameback now you say it @Hearhoovesthinkzebras was on my thread on the 25th May banging on about Somerset about to implode..... it's the 15th June, it hasn't yet! And that's the magic three weeks when it's all going to happen not. Some people are truly disappointed that the second wave just hasn't arrived.

Indeed. And despite consistent reminders that that poster is allowed to remain locked in her hours for as long as she chooses, she isn't happy unless everyne else is locked up too, and most certainly not having fun. FOR EVER.

Then don't, nobody is forcing you! We all have 'fun' in different ways, so fine! Someone's idea of 'shopping, all day and having 'fun' is another's idea of hell. But why the fuck people have to come on having a moan at people that want to shop within government guidelines and saying they're buying tat, they don't have the money to shop, are idiots, selfish, should stay locked up forever, should be ashamed, should buy shielded people luxury hampers god only knows.

The title was clear, I don't think the dementors have put any of the shoppers off at all.

I never said you were hostile but some poster on here have been very aggressive and sanctimonious about op having a day out. Maybe read what people say in future?

Ok @FuzzyPuffling what luxury item do you want, please choose a shop with a decent queue or it's not worth my effort. I'll also risk life and limb sitting in my car for two hours, completely alone, not within 2 meters of anyone to queue at a McDonald's, that action alone will cause a spike, I mean people sitting in their cars alone! Dangerous.

Lockdown really isn’t ending for working parents, mostly mums, until the schools reopen. You’re very limited to what you can do until the kids are back.

Where have I said that? I haven't said it at all. I've said they've only just allowed us one walk a day, I've been out twice but it's impossible to maintain social distancing so now I'm staying in again. But, no, just keep making things up
