White bedding is the best

I never thought so.
I would buy colourful bedding with patterns.
Then one day I needed an unusual size to fit the new duvet and the only one in the shop was white.
Good quality cotton, but white.
I bought it thinking well this sucks.
Oh was I wrong.
I washed it yesterday and dried it in the sun and this morning I feel in heaven.
Plus the room looks bigger.
If I didn’t have a small baby and no time I would have ironed it. Oh my, imagine it all steam ironed 😍😍😍

I had no idea do many people liked white bedding. I wouldn't consider it in a million years. I thought hotels etc had it just because it was neutral and boring so couldn't offend anyone.

Interesting that so many people find it calming. I find the starkness of it (and white walls) a bit disturbing. The absence of colour and it being a blank space I find strange and a little depressing.

I have only white bedding. Never have a problem with it staying white. That said I only ever wash it with other white things

I used to only have white bedding.
I now have a dog who sleeps on my bed....started buying covers with patterns!

Not a fan, I have cream ( gold and lilac bedroom colours) and a lovely dark purple set, I do find white cold.
For anyone wanting a natural bleach, bio do one, keeps things white and not turning grey

White bedding convert here. Means I don't have to bother matching up pillow cases etc, they just come out of the cupboard and go on the bed.

Won't go back to patterns now!

I love it. I'll be going to Homesense for some new, quality pillowcases after lockdown

I have glorious bright pink with Moroccan style patterns. It’s beautiful and makes me truly happy! I used to have white bedding, it was boring!

I only have white bedding, I couldn't imagine sleeping on another colour!

Can't stand white bedding. We have slate grey floral bedding. Two sets exactly the same. Also some space kitties from Asda. 👍🏻

I've only had white or cream bedding since I left home (in 1981). So yanbu OP.

I have all white Egyptian cotton bedding (easy to wash and match!) but a coloured eiderdown/quilted throw thing that goes over the bed because, cats...

White bedding, white towels, all white tableware.

I love the simplicity.

For those who like white bedding where do you get it from? I was thinking 400 Egyptian cotton? Any brands you recommend?

I have fiber sets of bedding for the house. Two are vivid tartan brushed cotton for winter.
Two are 100% cotton and white.
My new 100% linen set arrived today and is drying on the line. Also white. Can't wait to put it on the bed.

Agree it looks so fresh. But never a white fitted sheet - always something a bit darker and sturdier!

@notheragain4 honestly, the best set I have is from Asda! It's at least ten years old and looks brand new.

I'm slowly phasing out all my coloured bedding, I love white bedding. Feels like I'm in a hotel!

Love my white bedding! I keep it sparkling white too! I love it when it’s freshly washed and ironed...bliss!!

maybe I spent too many trips away with work but 'hotel' doesn't appeal to me.
it's never as comfortable as my own bed. white might be practical, but luxury it ain't (for me).

If you have white bedding, what colour are your curtains/walls/floor?

All our bedrooms have white bedding. In our room the walls are a strong but pale lilacy tinged grey, the blinds, beams etc are dark oak and the new wardrobes going in the same.

The other rooms are either white walls with lighter oak beams and shutters to match (but original so very old) or pale eau de nil walls (which is like a pale green duck egg) . Carpets are all cream.

I just don’t like coloured bedding any more. However I just bought my daughter some new bedding and one set is actually white, but with small peacocks on it, and the other set is called storm and is like a grey green, both lovely, but I personally prefer pure white.
