To wonder if something has been lost forever?

I live in another country which has opened nearly everything back up, people out on the streets again etc but face masks mandatory in restaurants/shops.
Effectively, you can, if you choose
to, live a relatively ‘Normal’ life again (aside from the masks) you can see friends, family, go to the beach, restaurants, shopping.
We took our Dd out this morning for a little bike ride, many many people out, I’m okay with that, we have to continue living..but it’s not the same..obviously it wouldn’t be, but its ‘Really’ not the same. I almost feel like I don’t want to be out (not through fear, just meh) but also don’t want to be stuck indoors.
I just hope this feeling that ‘Something’ is gone is only temporary.
Does anyone else feel like that?

@MaxNormal how do you it will burn itself out, not even the scientists know.

The laws that have changed, the plastic screens the highstreet is more or else done bow with shops going bust, retailers already in administration.

So no there is no going back to normal.

Like I said they keep telling you and pushing that message of new normal. If you refuse to accept that then good luck to you, you will be whinging for a long time.

@cyclingmad if you think the world is going to stop permanently for a virus that, whilst nasty for certain age demographics, is hardly Ebola, and is apparently asymptomatic in the vast majority of cases, then I'm afraid you're very wrong.

@Alsohuman

The roaring twenties happened after the Spanish flu and I am focusing on that

Only for the wealthy. The only thing that roared in the 1920s for a vast swathe of the population was unemployment.

Well thanks for pissing in my parade that really helped. Biscuit

She’s right though, and we have the delights of a no deal Brexit on the horizon. Doesn’t that fill you with glee?! No? Me neither.

Why don't we all just kill ourselves now, then?

This is the thing, if it does in fact, burn itself out 🙏 what will they do about all these new provisions put in plaice? Why have they gone into it with such gusto, especially in England? I do find the whole situation really odd and I’m no conspiracy theorist..!

I have kept positive until the last few days, but I feel like the fight has gone out of me this week. So much already to deal with before this virus came along and it just feels like things piling on top of other things constantly - today finding out that a much loved family member who is dying in a hospice tested positive for covid today, which means his devoted wife may not be able to be with him when he dies, and it may mean that she has already caught it. It may also mean we can't be there to comfort her and support her when the worst happens and we are her only family. For some people 'getting back to normal' will be tainted forever by tragedy and loss. As and when hugging is allowed again between households I swear to God I will bawl like a baby - just want to be able to hug my parents and my nan, and to see my young nephew and niece who are too young to understand or adhere to any social distancing and who are therefore staying at home away from everybody. And if my DD, who is currently in year 6, gets to actually attend her new secondary school in person and as normally as possible then the relief will be immense - but right now I'm just not sure if it will happen. I do think eventually the virus will come to heel and not present the danger it does right now, but when? So many people are mixing in crowds at the moment, I can see this going on and on for ages. But not forever. Just wish we knew how long, then we could tick off the days with something to head towards.

@MaxNormal what is your issue? I never said the world would stop. Hmm

Perhaps I'm just not accepting everything fed to us by the media and see beyond it. Yes I do believe there is some truth to group of people who sits above government and want total control over everyone.

Yes they will put their agendas out their in plain sight because people cannot accept that it would be true so label us conspiracy theorists.

They put messages out there to you telling you what is happening and you refuse to believe.

The new normal is one such message.

Whilst you are so focused on the virus, laws have been changed that take away more freedoms those laws arent temporary they wont expire after the virus they are here to stay.

Your so desperate for everything to be like it was that you refuse to see it or want to acknowledge it. Thsts okay you can carry on as you are. But other people are waking up to what is happening and starting to question it all.

The censorship has already started people look to China and think that it only happens s there but now youtube, fb are censoring alot of information worldwide. Pushing the left wing propaganda using bots to flood social media at anything that questions or dares to speak out.

I see now where you are coming from. You believe in the 'hidden agenda'. What are the laws you believe are going to continue to control us next year, the year after?

I understand the PP saying they had been through worse. I have too, survived some life saving surgeries but left with complications and high risk of needing further ones, nothing can be done to cure it and have to live with it...

with time you can accept that and move on, this is different and there is a good possibility of change, maybe it will even become more of a cold type thing some people think, also there are things can be done such as stay healthy, take vitamin D, so for me it is an easier thing to deal with than my other problem.

I think it’s still too early to say whether life as we knew it has changed forever or not. We’re still in the midst of the pandemic.

They are telling you to your face and people still want to believe things will be back to normal

Who are this mysterious 'they' and what magical knowledge of the future do they have?

Report
cyclingmad · 14/06/2020 21:40

They don't have magical knowledge of the future because they are the ones making it happen...the likes of Bill Gates for one.

The epstein saga is enough to show you what is happening out their, the way one man could influence and control his outcome for money years including government officials and even the FBI. That is insight alone to tell you and show you it is real and that is nothing in comparison what the likes of Bill Gates etc can do.
