Aibu to think that trousers half way down the arse and boxers hanging out looks silly on a 34 year old man?
He says it's more comfortable but the more it hangs out the more I think he's more of a man child than a man ?!

I'd refuse to be seen with him.

DontStandSoCloseToMe · 10/06/2020 08:08

He's too old at any age to do this it's ridiculous, I didn't think it was even the fashion with young people now?

VettiyaIruken · 10/06/2020 08:09

It looks ridiculous on anyone, regardless of age.

Well, no, you could get away with it if you're 2 and need your mum to pull your trousers up for you.

Sexnotgender · 10/06/2020 08:09

It’s not ok at any age😂

Yellowpepper2010 · 10/06/2020 08:09

No I don't think it is fashion now either, although how they can call it fashionable I do not know 🤣 he gets quite ( excuse the pun ) arsey if I say pull your trousers up your not a teenager anymore !! But I'm actually finding it putting me off him!!

SpillTheTeaa · 10/06/2020 08:09

It's ridiculous. I always think so it's perfectly acceptable for a man to walk around like that but if a woman walks around with shorts on where you can see her arse cheeks she is tacky and probably a slut. Okay, right. Noted.

Mumoblue · 10/06/2020 08:10

Yes but I'd be tempted to respond either with a pantsing or a wedgie so I'm not exactly the height of maturity either.

Grin
Yellowpepper2010 · 10/06/2020 08:10

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's ridiculous 😂

Sounds like you’re getting ‘The Ick’.

Perro · 10/06/2020 08:13

Ridiculous but also at least 3 years out of date. LTB Grin

JustC · 10/06/2020 08:14

Not ok at any age. Hated it when I was teenager as well and seemed to be a thing. Ask him how would he feel about you showing half your ass to people?

LunaHardy · 10/06/2020 08:16

I heard this story once, not sure how true it is, but I heard that wearing your trousers down your arse like that was a sign to other men in prison that you're "open for business" so to speak. You could tell him that Grin

WowLucky · 10/06/2020 08:21

IME even among the very young it's only done by a very small demographic now. My teen DSs find it very amusing and always wear a belt Grin

Westiegirl3 · 10/06/2020 08:23

I'd find it hilarious if my DH did this and I'd refuse to be seen with him... not that he would, he loves a belt

tenlittlecygnets · 10/06/2020 08:23

Take a photo of his arse to show him how ridiculous he looks.

Unacceptable at any age.

Bluntness100 · 10/06/2020 08:24

Is this your partner. ? I’d honestly not wish to be seen with my husband if we was walking about with his under wear out.

NameChange84 · 10/06/2020 08:26

Ewwwwwww

There’s no excuse for this, any age.

Is it just me or is it a real turn off when men wear “character” boxers too?

My ex used to wear them...Sesame Street, Simpsons, Superheroes...We were almost 30 at the time. I’ve, unfortunately, noticed a lot of adult men seem to wear them. Is it just me being a fussy bugger?

ErnDincum · 10/06/2020 08:29

He sounds a bit tragic. I would refuse to be seen in public with him.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/06/2020 08:31

Sounds like he never grew up and doesn’t want to.

Sexnotgender · 10/06/2020 08:32

Character boxers don’t bother me. I bought my husband Christmas underwear, he wears Christmas socks all year round so thought he should have underwear too. He looks hot in themSmile

Yellowpepper2010 · 10/06/2020 08:32

I did take a photo and showed him!! He says there's nothing wrong with it lol!
Also he will even have the boxers with holes in hanging out too!! Looks bloody awful and embarrassing too!! When I say about it he acts like a stroppy teenager being told off by his parents 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

At least teenagers have the excuse of their youthful lack of good sense to fall back on. It looks shit at any age and is particularly unappealing on a grown man. Awful, I would refuse to be seen in public with him.

Bluntness100 · 10/06/2020 08:35

Character boxers, ties, socks, are such a huge no no for any grown man, but to be fair to the op they Pale in comparison to wearing your trousers half way up your arse.

I think op he’s clearly thought at some point that it was something cool blokes did and now he’s kind of sticking with it as in his head he thinks he looks good. What he is failing to realise is everyone else is looking at him thinking that’s so not a good look, how cringe.

MadeForThis · 10/06/2020 08:41

Tell him people are laughing at him.
I certainly would be.

notheragain4 · 10/06/2020 08:41

It's not just age, it's also not 2003. Baggy arse showing trousers belong in the vault with chunky highlights and butterfly clips.
