admittedly, ive only been a member for a few months, but i have come to this conclusion. take today for instance. the main topic of conversation on this section is; parents of 5 year olds worried about which senior school to go to? on that thread is the biggest bore & snob you will ever have the misfortune to meet. this popular thread is closely followed by mums worried about whats in their kids packed lunch? mums get a life! im off for a fag.

OP posts:

sugarmatches · 24/09/2007 22:19

Okay, that is brilliant rhyming and I did not get a single snap.

sallysparrow · 24/09/2007 22:22

Aitch · 24/09/2007 22:22

oh dear oh dear... it's pronounced little lapan... oh sugarmatch it's almost like you don't have a little place in the Dordogne.

StarryStarryNight · 24/09/2007 22:22

Am I missing something? I hardly watch tv.
Or, I just finnished watching umm Americas Next Tip Model, and how MC is that? LOL

Desiderata · 24/09/2007 22:22

Wabbit, that was twuly terwiffic

We need a limerick thread ... and a dictionary, and a thesaurus.

You see? It does rhyme. I'm still trying to think of something that marinades with lapin.

StarryStarryNight · 24/09/2007 22:23

Just imagine that sugarmatches have a slight accent, Sh%t hap pan, little la pan....

Desiderata · 24/09/2007 22:23

Desi, I was in a friggin FIELD. I was freezing my subtle behind off in a freezing night fog! But we had fun! How was yours?

Mhamai · 24/09/2007 22:25

I know models are pencil thin starry but felt tip now too?

Ok I'll get me coat.

Desiderata · 24/09/2007 22:25

Cor, that's bloody inspired, Starry. I need to do a Lapin limerick in rap.

Mhamai · 24/09/2007 22:27

No one except kerry and Tnogu looked at my poem over on culture vultures.

UCM · 24/09/2007 22:28

LL fucking cuntingly good darlin'.

Desiderata · 24/09/2007 22:28

Mine was good, thanks. It was bro's birthday yesterday, so I had a few drinks, but it was social and not a problem.

I think I've got the handle on it, so to speak. I may occasionally fall off the wagon, but I'll still be clinging to the duckboards

StarryStarryNight · 24/09/2007 22:28

Well Desi, if you get the arm movements right, I can lend you a headscarf and a pair of sunglasses!

Yup Mhamai, Felt tip sized most of them. But even Tyra commented that for the first time they had TWO plus sized competitors. And 2 mums...

sugarmatches · 24/09/2007 22:28

No Aitch, we opted for a place in Croatia. It is the new Rivieria you see.

Desiderata · 24/09/2007 22:30

Ah, UCM, UCM.

You're so fucking lyrical. You are the Dylan Thomas of Mumsnet.

Hey, that thread got deleted, just as I was getting going ..

StarryStarryNight · 24/09/2007 22:30
