admittedly, ive only been a member for a few months, but i have come to this conclusion. take today for instance. the main topic of conversation on this section is; parents of 5 year olds worried about which senior school to go to? on that thread is the biggest bore & snob you will ever have the misfortune to meet. this popular thread is closely followed by mums worried about whats in their kids packed lunch? mums get a life! im off for a fag.

It was Christmas Day in the Workhouse
That season of good cheer
The pauper's hearts were merry,
Their bellies full of beer.

The pompous workhouse master,
As he strode about the halls,
Wished them a merry Christmas,
But the paupers answered "Balls".

This angered the workhouse master
Who swore by all the gods,
He'd stop their Christmas pudding,
The dirty rotten sods.

Then up spake a bald headed pauper
His face as bold as brass,
"Y'can stick your Christmas pudding ...
and shove it up yer arse"

Hi, Kerry!

Yes, me! I loved your poem. I mean, I haven't read it, but I love it, love it, love it

Backtobasics · 24/09/2007 21:00

I find this thread very amusing. I cannot believe everyone has gotten so worked up on this thread.

First of all to the op, how on earth would you know that everyone on mn is middle classed? Define middle classed? I think if you put everyone who was mn in a room together you would be very suprised about what a mixture of people there are.

Secondly, i never understand why people log on to mn then feel the need to start a thread slagging it off? It's not for everyone and not everyone is gonna love it so why not just find another site, or switch the computer off?

Lastly the 'what's with everyone saying darling husband?' LOL. A bit of adult humour never hurt anyone and i am sure every wife on here has plenty of names they like to refer their husbands to! A little humour needed for the op!

Someone please define 'middleclassed' to me pleeeaaase!

if im not speaking out of turn ( knowing my place and all that) should i be looking out for any one in particular? you may be aware, but i have been totally "hammered" (sorry, beggin your pardon, working class expression) and simply hav'nt had time to read all insults. im much obliged.
