admittedly, ive only been a member for a few months, but i have come to this conclusion. take today for instance. the main topic of conversation on this section is; parents of 5 year olds worried about which senior school to go to? on that thread is the biggest bore & snob you will ever have the misfortune to meet. this popular thread is closely followed by mums worried about whats in their kids packed lunch? mums get a life! im off for a fag.

No VVQV Xenia likes the word mummy hates the word mum tis dumbing down apparently, must go and tell my 7 year olds they are contributing to the dumbing down of the english language.

CatIsSleepy · 24/09/2007 19:45

Cammelia · 24/09/2007 19:46

3andnomore · 24/09/2007 19:46

...I am sure Xenia showed me a glimps of humour (sp?)

Sometimes I come on here and its all the kind of questions you mentioned in your op, in which case I go away and look at something else - it is after all a parenting site so the same kind of questions will come up regularly.

Occasionally I get riled by someone and think they are a fckwit, on those occasions I take a deep breath resist the urge, it really doesnt make anyone* look intelligent.

Mumsnet can be frustrating, boring, fun, stimulating - you just pick and chose the bits you want to take part in...or go elsewhere.

3andnomore · 24/09/2007 19:47

well, you did say bitch ratehr then biatch....lol...

littleboo · 24/09/2007 19:47

talulasmum i didn't mean you (re x factor quote, quite the opposite, i actually meant all the others having a go at you. I've been supporting you, well fighting your corner on the aggression front.
Being told several times to f.... off, insulted and the rest, and by the way (again not you tm - what do you call this kind of behaviour then????, if not bullying..... "just being mean! " isn't that what was said!
I think whoever said the thing about congratulary back slapping was correct, thats what this has become.

3andnomore · 24/09/2007 19:48

oh is it desi, that's been having us on here?

sugarmatches · 24/09/2007 19:53

Step back everyone...don't you see the irony?
TM has indeed made MN more "boring" just by starting this thread.

She is also very good at generalising based on cliches straight out of Hugh Grant films.

LittleBella · 24/09/2007 19:54

LOLOL yes you are probably more middle class than I'll ever be.

I'd like to think of myself as declasse.

sugarmatches · 24/09/2007 20:02

Why is it that chavvy people never realise that they are chavs?

3andnomore · 24/09/2007 20:03

lol Kerry...you mustn't confuse me....lol

3andnomore · 24/09/2007 20:03

oh lorayn, you never know, she might be a chavtastic middle class mum ;)

Lorayn · 24/09/2007 20:05

ha, she may, just like kerry katona, she must be middle class by now surely??
as talulahsmum said, it's all about money isnt it, not having to worry about our finances

I wish I was cultured enough to get into the poetry thing, but I can only remember 'I wandered lonely as a cloud'
