I have a diary invite from my bosses boss and HR. The title of the invite is org review. So doesn’t look good?

Or it may be to do with updating my HR file as I have to have nhs treatment for something that I didn’t tell them about when I joined the company 2 years ago. It’s just psychology once a week.

@Bibijayne that’s only for more than 20 people.

Regretful123 · 13/06/2020 19:36

They can’t help me because I haven’t been at the company long enough and even if I do push it out for 2 years I have no proof and they have a valid reason for dismissal.

Regretful123 · 13/06/2020 19:37

@SusieOwl4 I’m pushing it for two years. I do a different job etc so it’s not possible to argue anything. They have a matrix blah blah blah/

Regretful123 · 13/06/2020 19:38

@KitchenConfidential the company is doing everything right.

SusieOwl4 · 13/06/2020 19:39

that's confusing ? you have either done 2 years from your date of contract or you haven't ? also your contract will state what reasons for dismissal could be ? are they moving goal posts ?

Regretful123 · 13/06/2020 19:49

@SusieOwl4 it’s redundancy. I have got a dick note to push me over type two year limit.

Regretful123 · 13/06/2020 19:50

Omg sick not dick lol

KatherineJaneway · 13/06/2020 22:41

So sorry to hear that OP

backinaminute · 14/06/2020 07:38

That's rubbish, so sorry.

Carolbaskinstiger · 14/06/2020 08:44

While it’s crap - one thing to take some heart from is that I bet you feel some sense of relief that you won’t be working there anymore.
Redundancy is scary but you will find another job, and one that won’t be so hard on your mental health. I’ve never known anyone to suffer badly from redundancy - and that includes through the 2008 crash - they always went onto something better and you will too!

NaturalBornWoman · 14/06/2020 08:58
@Bibijayne that’s only for more than 20 people.
They still have to conduct a ‘meaningful’ consultation even if it’s for just an individual, so they should only have told you your role is at risk of redundancy and explained the process and the consultation period.

AwwDontGo · 14/06/2020 09:18

Sorry to hear that OP. Hopefully you will find something else soon.

UmbrellaHat · 14/06/2020 15:26

Sorry to here this outcome. Probably not much comfort now, but I was made redundant in similar circs several years ago. Retrained snd now do a job I love. Would not have left a job to re-train, but being forced into it was the best thing (retrospectively). - hope you find your place too.
