I have a diary invite from my bosses boss and HR. The title of the invite is org review. So doesn’t look good?

Or it may be to do with updating my HR file as I have to have nhs treatment for something that I didn’t tell them about when I joined the company 2 years ago. It’s just psychology once a week.

When I had my meeting about being made redundant it was with my boss's boss and HR.
My manager wasn't included.

I am very sorry if this is going to happen to you too (in my case the whole thing was a big relief).

TommyShelby · 09/06/2020 13:04

Really hoping it’s not bad news OP

CoRhona · 09/06/2020 13:06

@Helpmeupset what happened?

dancinguser · 10/06/2020 09:27

How did it go?

Movinghouseatlast · 10/06/2020 09:44

I'm very sorry for you. A similar thing happened to me. I spoke my mind about being bullied by my manager. I suddenly got a reputation for being 'difficult ' after 18 blameless years of service. They got rid of me as soon as they could.

It makes my blood boil that people are still not allowed to speak up about injustice.

backinaminute · 10/06/2020 22:06

I was just thinking about you op, hope it was ok

GrizzlebumsMum · 13/06/2020 14:11

I’ve been wondering how the OP got on. Any news?

tensmum1964 · 13/06/2020 18:40

Hope you are ok.OP.

Regretful123 · 13/06/2020 18:58

Hi it’s me.
Sorry forgot the email.
Yep reds.
Yep shouldn’t have spoken my mind, well actually I don’t care anymore.

FiveFootTwoEyesOfBlue · 13/06/2020 19:01

Sorry to hear that OP. Are you one of many being made redundant or is it just you?

Regretful123 · 13/06/2020 19:03

Nah it’s just me.
Defo due to what I said.
But at the same time if you are suffering at work as well.... something has to give.
Onwards and upwards:
Thanks for your support ladies.
Got a sick note so I go over the two year threshold so I get 2 weeks pay (yeah amazing).

Regretful123 · 13/06/2020 19:03

Could really do with someone to chat to now, on the phone. But hey I don’t think the service exists.

Bibijayne · 13/06/2020 19:07

Acas should be open for a telephone call Monday. Have you also spoken to your union?

They have to consult for 30 days for individual redundancy, then give notice (or pay in lieu of notice) on top of your redundancy pay.

SusieOwl4 · 13/06/2020 19:19

so you are saying you had over 2 years service ?

There are strict rules about how redundancy works and if you think it is actually discrimination then you should speak to ACAS to check your rights - or your union if you are in one .

KitchenConfidential · 13/06/2020 19:25

Absolutely call ACAS on Monday. This is literally why they exist. Hope they can help you.
