I’d change the kitchen cupboards and potentially install different doors out to garden... I really like it, DH thinks garden too small (family of 4).

@Elsiebear90 I dont think that was the point Dolly was making, not how I read it anyway.

ChewChewIsMySpiritAnimal · 06/06/2020 17:48

The layout seems really poor.

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 06/06/2020 17:48

I love the kitchen - so bright and airy with lots of space. The garden is awful - no lawn or anywhere to relax. I'd also be wary of only one bathroom with a family of 6.

Disfordarkchocolate · 06/06/2020 17:48

Apart from the hideous kitchen it's nice. I think you could easily make the garden feel more spacious. I'm a big fan of a manageable garden and being close to a park.

TimeWastingButFun · 06/06/2020 17:48

There are a lot of hard areas - the garden is small and not friendly especially for kids, and the kitchen is very red... I'd change the unit doors. I don't know, it doesn't seem that cosy and friendly but everyone's tastes are different!

RainMustFall · 06/06/2020 17:48

Sorry, I don't like it. It seems devoid of any character, inside or out, and I think the garden is awful, especially for children.

I like it a lot, I love the red kitchen 🤩

TrickyKid · 06/06/2020 17:51

I don't know the area but the house has potential. I'd definitely change the red kitchen doors and the wrap around work top on the pillar isn't very usable. Garden needs some grass and planting to stop it looking so dull too.

It's plenty big enough for 4 people.

thebeatofthedrum · 06/06/2020 17:52

As a PP has said - the whole downstairs is open plan - nowhere to go for a quiet cup of tea or a private conversation. That would put me off.

HeretoThereandBackAgain · 06/06/2020 17:53

I love the kitchen! It looks like Ikea, though, if so it would be easy to update the doors and panels if you didn’t like them.

The outside is dire, both back and front, apart from the beautiful tree.

480Widdio · 06/06/2020 17:53

Where I went to school,Crawley is not a nice place to live.Although Pound Hill is out of the town.Have you thought about Hayward’s Heath,my brother lives in Lindfield which is lovely.

Some nice properties there in that price range.I also think the property prices will crash in Crawley as Gatwick is such a big employer.

I like the house but not the garden.

HermioneWeasley · 06/06/2020 17:53

Seems like a bargain - that house would cost tha eBay me and I’m oop north

HermioneWeasley · 06/06/2020 17:54

Cost that near me, not eBay

Atthebottomofthegarden · 06/06/2020 17:55

I like it. I quite like the kitchen, think I’d enjoy it for 6 months and then want to change it!

Agree garden is awful but that’s a relatively cheap thing to fix. Slightly concerned that there are no pics of the other bedrooms.

amatsip · 06/06/2020 17:55

I live not far from there, really sought after neighbourhood, catchment for hazelwick school, which is a great secondary.

ItsNotAGameOfSubbuteoMatthew · 06/06/2020 17:56

I love the kitchen! The garden is about average for our area so it's fine for our expectations.

cabbageking · 06/06/2020 17:56

Lots of potential.

Don't like the red in the kitchen but easy to change.
The front and back gardens are too bare for me and need some colour.

Would look at schools, facilities, access and crime figures and noise and the satellite image. Log onto the council website for planning/ building regs and info about the house and in the locality.

AudTheDeepMinded · 06/06/2020 17:57

Garden more than big enough, just needs making into an actual garden! Kitchen hideous, could paint possibly as short term solution, but I'd be looking to replace those units (what were the owners thinking?).

Oblomov20 · 06/06/2020 17:57

I think it's got potential. Change colour of kitchen cupboard doors.
Shorten patio and then lay some grass. Great!

Anywaythewindisblowing · 06/06/2020 17:57

To my mind
House massive and well expensive
Garden big
Kitchen hideous as fuck

That would be my summation

viques · 06/06/2020 17:59

That tree in the front is gorgeous! It's not my style of house but it looks clean and move straight into-able. You have two kids, what are the locals schools ,local sports centres and parks like? The fourth bedroom is tiny, and the garden isn't huge if you have very active kids. Any chance of squeezing a loo into the ensuite?

And on a more positive note, I recently discovered that the lovely people at right move have done all the property porn searching for us. Yay! All you need to do is get a box of tissues, to wipe the saliva from your screen , and google ' Rightmove most viewed ' . I'm off to virtually take my shoes off at the door and lounge about in a dear little mansion in Sandibanks, shame about the neighbours, but I'll just keep myself to myself.........

ptumbi · 06/06/2020 17:59

I like the kitchen! nice a big, straight onto the 'garden' although that wouldn't be anything like enough garden for me.

I'm not too far from Pound Hill, and agree it's a nice enough area - shops, station, green spaces not too far - but I wouldn't want to live there, too close to Creepy Crawley, and as PP said, the airport is all but dead atm, and a huge percent of people in this area rely on the airport for work.

It's not under the flightpath.

With half-a-mill£ I'd look at Horsham town, or Redhill (again, I'd not want to live there, but it's ok) or Horley - all on the London Bridge or Victoria trainline.

bonsaidragon · 06/06/2020 18:00

I don't like the severe style in the garden, I'd have to completely redo it with lawn and flower beds and make a wildlife friendly garden with ponds and trees.

The wardrobes are very dated and would need to be replaced.

I love the bright colours.

Soontobe60 · 06/06/2020 18:00

I bet it needs a new bathroom, and it looks small on the floor plan. Also, not showing all the bedrooms rings alarm bells too. Garden is far too small for the size of the house.
